Recently, they added the new underground "Umbralands" dimension. It has the best ore and the strongest mobs but you need to be stacked up to go there. For now, you need diamonds, ruby and sapphire to craft some charms, which are the best tools in the game. Also, this mod adds a bunch of new tree types so I'm waiting to see what you come up with for your base :p
