Strange that people would take the trouble to rehearse, perform and film their performance without learning something about its provenance. There seems to be the assumption among some Americans that all folk songs from Britain are "Irish", just as all people of colour are "African Americans"

What i like much is that this song is sang mainly by those that are singing it, talking to their guardian angels

I’m a tenor in high school and I just got this piece and immediately fell in love, so excited to preform it

My high school chorus performed this for a competition. In English around 1971. I sang soprano.

I love " The Lord's Prayer", and " It's A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong ,such soul uplifting and soothing for my whole being! " For the Kingdom, and the Power Are Yours,Forever and Ever " Amen".❤

In high school We hosted an exchange Brazilian exchange student, so I was able to help with the Brazilian Portugues pronunciation, At a festival we even received a compliment from the adjudicator, Howard Sawn (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Swan) for not using the Spanish pronunciation.

I love this so much and to sing it a second time at that tempo!! that was magnificent. I sang this in a Madrigal group in high school 50 years ago. It is timeless. It made my day to find this.
