Crochet Easy 2 Row Repeat “Cat’s Cradle” Blanket
I made this blanket for under $30 using 5 skeins of Premiere Puzzle bulky yarn in the color, “Cat’s Cradle”.
This is a 5 weight yarn, but any yarn will work, you’ll just need to adjust the hook size as needed.
My blanket is 55” long x 40” wide, which is a good size for a throw or a crib or toddler bed blanket.
The optional border is so easy, but adds a cute touch.

@ I am a disabled cancer survivor & grandma of 12. I originally learned how to crochet when I was 10 years old in Camp Fire Girls club. I taught myself how to crochet some things from the beginners magazines & crocheted some when I was a stay at home Mom. But when I went back to work full time I quit crocheting for decades until about couple years ago & I am SO THANKFUL for everyone who takes the time to make these free tutorials & teach us so many different techniques, tips, stitches & patterns. So please know you are appreciated❣️
@ Welcome to a fellow survivor. I don’t have any grandchildren. They must keep you busy! My sister taught me the basics of crochet when I was young, but I just picked it up again about 5 years ago. My daughter-in-law has become disabled due to many medical conditions and she wanted me to teach her to crochet. I pointed her in the direction of many great crochet tutorials, but she wanted me to make them for her. Now I make them for anyone who wants to learn. I give away most of my projects, which just makes me feel good 😊 Thanks for taking the time to write!
@ Prayers for you & your daughter for healing. And I also give away almost everything I make, it also makes me feel good❣️ Your tutorials are a blessing to so many & will continue to be for a long time. I taught one of my daughters how to crochet & she has far surpassed me by learning from tutorials like yours. Blessings to you & your family & Merry Christmas❣️
@ Thank you and bless you, too! Becca is also is much better at the more complicated crochet like using graphs. I can do it, but I prefer things that are fairly easy with fun stitches and colors to keep me from being bored or I won’t finish it. It took me a while to post public videos, so it’s so nice to know they’re helpful and will be around for awhile.

@@marina_m11 Thank you so much!!! I like to keep things as easy as possible. It’s rare for me to use 4 weight yarn (I prefer super bulky) but I wanted this to be pretty flexible. It would be very easy to add buttons, but that part is always hidden behind my tree, so I didn’t bother. Thanks again for the feedback and for subscribing! ❤️🧶

@@suzannebridges7334 Thank you! The hardest part for me is deciding on a color scheme. I love the idea of gray, camel and cream! Holiday colors would be nice as well. Сколько метров в 100 граммах?
I believe it’s 99 meters for this yarn weight. 😊
@@I-crochetспасибо
Question please, if i want to make it bigger, chains are multiple of?
A multiple of 10 plus 1 more chain at the end. Every 10 chains will give you another square of 5 spaces to run your chain through. You would need to make 30 more chains to keep the pattern of alternating the three colors. In the pillow cover pattern, I chained 31 to give me 15 spaces, enough for 5 rows of each color. Does that make sense? Let me know if you need anything else.😊❤🧶

I jave thwt grey yarn i have 6 balls of it. I love it.
Is this yarn the chunky really soft kind? If so you make it looks so easy to crochet with. I sometimes have a hard time with certain softer or funny types of yarn. But i love it so much. I cant use the feather kind at all i wish tho😊
@@MsLori1973 Yes, the Bernat Forever Fleece is the softest!! It doesn’t split. It’s easy to work with and I love the colors. They have increased their price, so I’m not happy about that, but I’ll still keep using it. I’m not crazy about the lighter weight yarns because they’re harder to work with and take longer to make anything. I am using a 4 weight right now to make a Christmas tree skirt. I’ll put a pattern up soon.
That stitch be cute on a puffy hat
I forget what the women said that stitch was called but i did 9 and it was for a sweater the cacoon one and i learned this stitch today and the x one. Boy was i frustrated. I managed to do it. I started over got me a 9 hook cux i think i crochet too tight still. I stared iver n now i can do it way better. But i think im gonna do these carpets until i get used to it and then try again on the sweater. And maybe ill add the x stitch too. I kinda like that one. Im not good at the keeping the endges straight, so im gonna rewatch this again cuz id teally like mine to look as straight as yours n not have a curl either. Lol thanks hun i appreciate it 😊😊 ya know i never crocheted u til i was in my late 20s or 30s hahaha im 50 now ans im picking it up again. I miss it n it mskes me happy. Hard on the back cux i lewn forward on my couch tho lol i need a swibg outside or something. But winters coming 😊
@@MsLori1973 Hi! It’s the bean stitch. I love how it zig zags. I just made a pattern for a mini bean stitch blanket. It takes less yarn but still looks like a bean stitch. When I crochet (not when I’m making a video) I sit back on the couch with my feet up and keep my elbows close to my side to keep my arms and shoulders from hurting. When I make videos, I have to crochet at my desk. That’s hard on my back, but it’s only for a short time. I use this rug daily and it washes up nicely. I was afraid the backing would come off, but it’s nice and secure. 🧶
I love it. I need one for my hallway and my kitchen too. Been lookin for one. 😊

I would soak them over night with these wart removers tape them.up n come morning after my coffee or tea id pluck all the dead off. Until i could see these red roots.
