Thank you so much. Okay when it comes to the weight it depends on the slip bobber. You want that slip bobber to stand up when it's in the water. If you see the slip bobber laying flat then you might want to add another weight to the line. You would know if you have too much weight on your line because your bobber would be submerged underwater. For example, if you have 5 weight on your line and your bobber is submerged, you might have to take one or two weights off until you see the water is at the line on the bobber. My go to baits when using this set-up are Live Minnows, Shiners, Grass Shrimp and Crickets. So the split shot is going to stop your slip bobber. If you didn't have the split shot on your line the slip bobber would go to your hook and it won't set up right because you have no weight on the line to pull the line through your slip barber, to stop at your barber stopper. Lol I know it's a lot but I hope this helps. Thank you again.
