Given our young inexperienced line and QB’s, all the injuries especially at WR, I am not as disappointed as many so-called “fans” seem to be. We are making progress, heading in the right direction and have some young talent that will be much better next year. Hopefully we don’t get routed by Bama at home but what will be will be.

He has David Carr syndrome. He hears footsteps that are not there. Has his head down looking to escape a clean pocket, causing him to not see open recievers. No pocket presence at all.

Mizzou fan, thank you for recognizing Carnell. The SEC is such a grind, on any given week, any team can and has beaten a much higher ranked team. Coach Drink has developed a culture where the team is really tight and every player is a brother to every other player. I love that the rivalry has been renewed. OU has a great tradition, welcome to the SEC. It really is a different environment.

They really should just go heavy set 2 tight ends and rush the ball. Play action pass occasionally but just commit to the run.

He doesn't throw to windows, he has to wait and see the man clearly open. That doesn't tend to work at this level. In HS you can get away with it. CFB, nope. He is consistently late with throws. 3 is open on the comeback, nice area/lane to throw from, and he doesn't let it loose. Mizz 13 is releasing/floating to get Burks. The MIzz OC did a nice job on the Burden catch where Johnson fell down. Nice concept to cross up defenders.

He just bailed on play. Just take one step forward in the pocket, which he didn’t actually need to do on this play. He is not completing passes downfield because he isn’t looking downfield. He is not seeing more than five yards in front of himself. Really need to go back to Hawkins or Casey Thompson. JA is so frazzled that he is seeing ghosts everywhere. If we’re going to bail out of the pocket and run, Hawkins gives you a better chance of breaking one.

That, "A fuckin tight end sweep..?" Was priceless. Spot on reaction to that horrific call.

Couple of things. 1 is JA should've thrown that ball when the WR was open. 2. JA has a HUGE running lane to the left! Brown isn't very good but, let's be honest JA isn't a good QB either.

IMO , that's not a stand in the pocket designed play. It was designed to hit one of a couple choices with a quick throw for a 1st down. As much as I hate to say it, JA isn't performing at the level we need. The issue may ultimately be as simple as he just isn't capable of performing at this level.

Spencer Brown play: It was supposed to be run blocking. the rest of the Oline went down field so he was "opening the gate" on purpose to let the D-End take himself out of the run play. Looks to me like a bad read from Arnold.

How open does a guy have to be? Like no one within 5 yards?
