Amazing is this on the burran
I love this man!!
Eddie lenihan
What is this man's name? I'm pretty sure he's from clare
Eddie Lenihan
The ancient Irish were familiar with mist, they had it often every year, they would never mistake smoke for mist, also they would have found parts of the burnt boats on the beach if the boats had been burned. So I don't think the Tuatha did burn their ships.
Ogham is over 2 thousand years old 😂 Nothing to do with Latin
It was developed in the Latin era -prob somewhere between 1 century BC and 4th century AD, And the Gaels of that time werent living in isolation , I assume that the real wise men of the time , druids - bards - healers had traveled somewhat , and picked up the value of written script - if for nothing else for accounting and bureaucracy, So may have adapted a Latin format to Gaeilge, and a suitably simple writing style ,on the edges of tall stones , they probably did the same on wooden posts ,but obviously those would have been more temporary in nature ..
Echoes of old pagan Ireland.
Man thats an idea but no one says ogam was based on hiberno latin from the medieval. Ogam stones are older and use roman latin. Theyre an Irish expression of the roman monumtal tradition. Using a cypher of roman script meaning they were here and some of us became naturalised enough to express ourselves in a roman idiom
Can i get the 'cure' gullibility?
Very interesting.
This actually works. I have been using it for 1000 years
OK what is it called in Irish language?
Thanks for uploading
Mmmm i dont know if i agree w this. We attended classes w the Irish Pagan School online and what was explained to us is that is that fairies are inherent to the land and were here long before the gods. When the gods lost this war, they joined the fairies into the other world realms. They are separate being nations that now belong to the otherworld.
Imagine the Church having issues with this. Proof of its effectiveness?
Proof he's talking sh1te 😂
Fairies are demons. If prayers were prayed over these trees ,then the curse would be broken . Nothing can ever overpower the prayers of the catholic church .
Very interesting, what is he talking about?
The Good Folk. Some call them Fairies, but that's a derogatory term. A fairy bush belongs to the good folk and anybody with any sort of common sense does not mess with the good folk.
It interesting to understand the beliefs people used to have and the reasons behind them. My grandfather was born on a dirt floor in a house that my grandmother still lives in, and it's incredibly important to value your heritage and traditions. But very few people believe this kind of thing anymore. I could guarantee that the man in the video doesn't believe a word of it.
I doubt this because there are no straight roads in Ireland, they will have bends for no reason at all.
Doubt the good folk at your peril................
The bends in the roads are likely to avoid the fairy bush. That understanding existed with Native Americans as well. A family cut down a tree that was sacred to them, they all died and only the wife was left. She donated the property which is called Yadoo which is now a writers retreat.
The hawthorn tree is sacred too, no one who knows anything interferes with a hawthorn tree.
@ALavin-en1kr The only faeries left in Ireland become Taeschoks (however you spell that).
@@JohnBurman-l2l The fairies do not become anything. They remain their true, authentic selves.
Which area of Ireland is that accent from? It's very unique.

What was the role of a Banshee? Is it a witch?
@@turquoisetreee banshee, (“woman of the fairies”) supernatural being in Irish and other Celtic folklore whose mournful “keening,” or wailing screaming or lamentation, at night was believed to foretell the death of a member of the family of the person who heard the spirit.
Tell the rest of the story they raided the west coast of England and france taking people and selling them as slaves.
