Good review! PS: You bring up “I wonder how they determine which factory…” That answer to that question debunks the myth of a “quality discrepancy” between The Vietnam factory vs Chinese factory. Due to trade restrictions & other legislation passed circa 2018-2020, Chinese imports became more limited. To skirt these trade restrictions, companies that manufacture products in China moved some production to Vietnam. Generally, the majority of the labor is still done in China to save costs, sent to Vietnam to be “finished” so that they can slap the “Made in Vietnam” on it- then it ends up on a ship to “western” markets

Is the size of this proportional to the play arts kai figures? I just want to display this beside a cloud PAK figure bec I prefer this over the PAK due to it having visible joints that looks weird. Can I do that or the scale doesn’t match?

Just got this myself paid less than retail price, would not have bothered buying at full price as I don’t believe it’s worth that much, good figure overall though as others have mentioned the pins in the base are silly. 8/10

100% agree the new plastic free black series work pretty good but these comic packs are kinda silly with the cardboard slip I can see that ripping EASILY

I'm a big fan of the Xenogear game but I wouldn't pay $200 for that figure. The size and material which it is make of is not worth that price. Maybe worth more like $50.

Over 25 years later, and I still can't completely comprehend the story. I wouldn't mind a nice 1/4 figure of Fei to add to my collection though.

I have not seen this guy at retail and all the resellers want way too much. Lucked into a seller on Amazon selling the Takara version for a few bucks more than US retail so I got it. Glad to see he's the same as the US version. Should have him in hand in a few weeks. Got tired of looking at my one armed Menasor!

The bases really are awful. My Aerith wont fit at all. I hate to try and spring the legs only to break her. She does stand pretty well on her own thanks to her large dress. But then you risk paint wear. Maybe I will just make my own bases and paint them up.

at this point I really wish SE would just take Xenogears out of their vault and allow other companies like Robot Damanshii, moderoid, bandai, or hell any of the 3rd parties out there to make the plamo for xenogear's gears because man, if there is anything consistent with SE and their bring arts line, is it's consistent poor quality management

no one else is pointing this out. but on the front of the packaging, Elektra’s bandana sits lower & more natural on her head.

For people having trouble getting the feet into the pegs, use a hairdryer and gently warm the legs up a bit, this will make them more flexible. Background is fairly simple: These figures and statues are usually in transit for months on a ship with low temperatures. Plastics and Resins tend to shrink together a bit more then other materials when getting cold. This usually doesn't affect the height or width, but smaller, extended parts, like limbs, may "move" a bit due to the material trying to pull itself together. Happens to best and most expensive collectibles. Just heat them up gently and you should be able to fix it yourself no problem. (Companies cannot prevent this from happening. At least I don't know any method to do so, unless the items are shipped climate regulated)

That defect just on yours or all of the Mai figures? Also skin tone looks super glossy compared to most of the other Bishoujos. I have her on pre order but having second thoughts now. Should I just get Felecia to go with Morrigan instead?
