Hi. Very nice engine. Im in the process of getting a very similar engine but 1889. The governor is broken off and missing along with the gear to drive it. I may be needing some measurements if i end up with it. All the best from Australia.

Runs really good , Great that you got round to the "tweeking" It runs more like a hit 'n' miss. I imagined it was going to run more like a throttle governed engine because of the spool valve. You must've spent some time trying all the spool valve adjustment and governor spring tension. A load on this engine would be interesting

What would be superb? A detailed, illustrated explanatory of that cross slide valve. The whole story of ignition is a chapter often relegated to the sidelines.

Hi, great video, I currently work at MOSI, and this is a fantastic engine for demonstrations. People really don't expect it to work the way it does. Also, just for information, this engine is a 1HP model.
