thanks. 1) i was looking to keep the fuel costs as low as possible. probably just confused myself. 2) my thinking is, less track + less trains = less problems if the game throws a recession. minimize risk, especially as i was nearing the end of the game. 3) +15% coal and iron. and then get Gooch or Palmer manager.

also, i did not merge with the AI companies because you get a massive whack of tracks and trains costs. even if you pause the game, and delete all the tracks and retire all the trains immediately, you still get a hefty bill! and then, if the game throws a recession/depression, you may never make enough to win gold. so, better to crush the competition than to merge. i might do a short video showcasing that.

@@kamchowful Ok, thanks, but it doesn't work also in my computer that is a windows 10. Probably misses some file

i tried using multiple DX dlls but it didn't work. probably needs others like Msoft Visual Studio dlls. Only Advexx knows and i do not know how to contact him.

in a way, knowing these tricks, takes away from enjoying the game played in the "normal" way.

Another nice you could do: play the "missions" out for 10 years after the gold. There is no chanel on UA-cam doing this.

I once passed the game (gold on nearly all missions including expansions) using no passengers, just freight. That was fun!

depending on the game mechanics, you can scr*w the brisbane line twice, both times for $4 million, and get the win much quicker.

one time, i had $8 million in cash after selling all stocks. i then let the game run on and got to £10 million just from interest. no way for the game AI to scr*w me there

Oh that would be great to watch/read.

I was thinking of connecting such cities but also think the game mechanics may shaft me with crashes and robberies on such long lines. What I notice is, the more you use one tactic, the more the game "learns" and throws spanners into the works. Especially if you play the campaign and keep getting gold medals.

Also, knowing how the game AI works, it may be wiser to play the harder missions first, get gold slightly easier, then play the simpler missions.

Had a quick look at Beijing to HK route. There is a low grade path through the mountainous terrain. Yields about $1.5m (ignoring extra money from hotel, restaurant and saloon). That is an option. I might do that next time, and like my Orient Express game, send trains only one way, just to clock up the money.

this mod works with the original cd version of BCD. i do not know if it works with the Steam version of BCD. maybe try BCD from GOG games.

relax. it is only a game. the game is made by enthusiastic people of commandos. in other words, it is not a professional game. so, there will be bad designs, bugs etc. if you do not like a particular mission, just skip it and play the next mission. why get angry?

it is not as simple as to say all soldiers do one thing and all generals do another thing. you have to test each enemy and learn what each one does.

what I concent ere is how to determined whose shout will trigger the alarm? coz there r some enemy soldier shout everywhere n really make a scene, but nothin happens, then evrybody juz go away continuing their rutin. while there is the situation, the soldiers can trigger the alarm to wit 1 shout.. I think shouting from the officer will trigger the alarm. am i right?

Btw, how can u understand their mission objective? Do u have any patch to correct the language? I can read them at all..

in the folder where you installed the game, there is a folder with mission objectives.

it can be done with expansion and long runs. you have to micro-manage all your trains. the game will try and deny you gold, but if you keep at it, eventually, you will get gold. or do what i did in the video, manipulate the game and get gold.

I am hoping that you can do a recording of tactics that try not to men bait or body bait. I never try to use anything other than decoy or footprint.

Yes, the timing is tricky. Also, there may be other ways of completing the mission - you just have to try lots of different tactics and maybe one will pay off.

@@kamchowful I tried to kill static guard on left and hide him behind hay, but one of guards will always see body. So seems tactic with going on right only legit way since all guards near main gates and house on the left don't react to berret decoy, you can't pass them without being detected.
