thanks for watching and giving Doc the view
I used to put a frozen up of water in my freezer with a quarter on top. if I find the quarter has sunk It lost power or is malfunctioning.
heck yes have that in all our ours
I was all in for replacing our seal until you said it took patience. Monday morning chat depletes my weekly patience supply. My freezer was bought in 1964 and needs a new seal.
@@C_103 It takes a while to get it on there. The manufacturer recommends that you soak it in hot water for a while to make it more pliable. My wife and I took turns on it. I would get one end on and then she would take over. We did that until complete. It wears out your fingers quick. I would imagine that if you have a fridge from 1964, that thing was built to last! It’s probably as heavy as a tank too! 😂
👍👍👍👍
@@CorsairTrainers 👍👍👍👍
Sorry that happened to you, good that you were canning!
@@prepperfortheages878 I chalk this up as a lesson learned. Initially, bad door seals on a freezer was the last thing I was thinking of. I was thinking maybe a compressor was going bad or something. It was something so stupid yet very important. 😂
Ours is doing the same thing. Had to ratchet strap the door to get it sealed. Got new gasket a month ago. Food stayed good though.
@@Central_KY_Prepper1 it seems like something so simple but can cost a person so much. I’m glad your situation turned out better than mine.
well they said they was gonna do that. in retaliation from the attack a while back. The whole of the middle east is kinda annoyed with isreal, they don't care for palistine that much either. Those grudges go back 1000's of years and we have no place in it.

learn, lol it happens almost every year. slow learning curve I guess.
@@AlaskanInsights some people have very short memories. 😂
@@docgalt2801 There gonna be spots where bad stuff happens you cant be prepped for, damns breaking , tree falling on your house... but those are localized.. This stuff ends up sweeping devastation because , yep they got short memories. At least zelinski got his 3 billon and obiden told fema to fluff off when they asked for cash.

👍👍 My need is really dumb. But I'll share because it's funny. I need to buy a pack of underwear. Told you it was dumb. 🙂 BTW I mentioned the strike to my mom's aide, she had no clue about it. Gently suggested she think about what she'd need.
@@prepperfortheages878 Everyone needs underwear, my friend. I don’t know too many that go “commando.” 😂 it’s a legit need!

When i was a small boy my folks had chickens rabbits and homing pigeons . The chickens weer fed a lot of scraps from the table . They also ate the scraps from chicken bones. 100% they will eat anything even each others remains.

Are you able to drag the cages to a freash patch of grass? Great job on the cages !
@@ThomasPaine223 yes I can! Three people can lift and move the assembly. Great question!

good looking work for sure.

Nice build! I just purchased 4' hardwire cloth - $97 for one roll! Holy moly!
@@prepperfortheages878 Wow! I received a very long roll of hardwire cloth from a chicken farmer who went out of business. I knew it was expensive. But I didn’t think it was that expensive. OUCH!

Good to hear from ya, Doc. We sell just enough eggs and birds to buy feed....then our supply is free. I went to a chicken show one time and thought cattle shows were crazy, good grief they take that serious.😂
@@C_103 My wife and I are actually headed to a farm swap that the community here holds locally. You are correct. They take it as serious as a heart attack. 😂 I’ve seen people want to examine birds and I have watched all the “unique” ways people have come up with to try to sex them. These people will give you their whole life story about birds if you let them. I just nod my head and keep drinking my coffee. I’m nice to people but I don’t get emotionally attached. We have made some very good money in the past at these swaps.
Great job that's a lot of work! One suggestion, chicken wire rusts out really quickly and coyotes just bite through it. People now use hardwire cloth, which lasts longer and is much stronger. 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch. Have a great rest of the week! -Jill
@@prepperfortheages878 Thanks Jill! The chicken wire they provided is nylon coated which is nice as far as rust. But like you said, it doesn’t offer a lot of security. I do have 1/2” hard wire cloth that I will probably use to reinforce with. It’s a great idea! The only coyote to ever get close enough to my chickens was found dead one morning with its throat crushed by the livestock guardians. But we can never be too safe!
Expand the chicken empire!!!!
