American here 🇺🇸. Just to clarify: Afternoon tea until 6:00 pm?? I know this is different from High Tea, I think 🧐 Could you tell us something about the significance of tea timeS in the UK? It just seems late to have tea, I think 🤷♂️🤷♂️ Honolulu 🇺🇸
@@RichardJayJr-vz8ev Afternoon tea used to be a ritual served between 3pm - 4pm but now it’s more of a treat can be enjoyed until later as a nice experience. High tea was typically served around 5pm-7pm. Afternoon tea mainly consists of sandwiches, scones & cakes & is lighter than high tea which consists of bread & veggies, sometimes meat & pies too. Hope that helps! I’d say tea to us in the UK is like coffee to those in the US ☺️ Thank you so much for watching 🙏🏼 On my bucket list to visit Honolulu!
