2023 Detroit Homecoming: Young Entrepreneurs
So appreciate these videos of the talks I loved hearing when I was home in September for Detroit Homecoming XI. So helpful to sit and watch and listen again. Wow. Hearing so much I did not grasp about their back story that is so interesting… and inspiring. Back stories … past meets present is holistic not linear!
How about a full size Walmart in the Renaissance for starters.
I enjoyed hearing this talk in person and good to be able to hear again.
always one of my favorite conversations at Detroit Homecoming …
This is going to be very helpful. I've met and reconnected with so many people at or through Detroit Homecoming who I try to stay in touch with and follow their efforts where they live and in Detroit. It's been helpful in many ways to stay in touch however difficult on a one at a time basis. Looking forward to being part of this effort to keep us sharing our mutual care for one another and Detroit. I love seeing how many "say nice things about Detroit" wherever they live, work and play. It makes a difference!
Not sure WHY THIS HOST??? But daang... be encouraging, kind & very welcoming to every guest. YOU are 100% responsible for the success of your programs.
I grew up in kenya during that time and that time was truly magical with all the teamwork, Good vibes and plenty of innovation from the group of young n raw talent.God bless all the surviving legends of magical motown of our times . theret
That's a beautiful thing the way they allworked together.
Shes playing the star.
I see whatt youmean, cheap$ oroduction/ good show.
All respects to the Motown singers then and now you deserve your crowns 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊
Dreadful camera work here!!
I see what you mean. Cheap$ production/ good show.
Oh dear Martha🫣fiddling around with her bag and looking annoyed with the other lady singer. And her voice well all I can say is “oh dear Martha”!!!😳
Host was fairly uncongenial or visibly receptive to the guests as they made their Stage entry. . . a handshakes or hug and smile in acknowledgment would've been nice. Just an observation constructive criticism.
God bless Martha, she is what she is and will always be. Same applies to Annette, Rozzy and Betty.
Wow what an incredible job this was!!! I can’t believe that this video has only 12 likes…?! It’s great to see and hear from these amazing artists who helped create the “ Motown Sound” !!! Kudos to the host too❤️😊! Thanks 🙏
13 , now!
Really good ... inspiring ... and love the playful spirit while sharing. Monica nice flow to your moderating.
great overview …
Martha, simply sit and be quiet on information you think you know.
Just beginning this video so I just want her not to sing. She was one of the best, and the Vandellas was my favorite girl group, but she's lost that.
Totally, agreed that her voice gone upon her classic recordings. Smokey/Diana for whatever reason managed their voices better@@justpde
@@justpdeshe was just not at her best that day. I've talked with her fairly recently & seen her perform several times over the past few years. She sounded good all of those times.
I agree. Martha’s days are done. I heard the Vandellas and they sounded great!
True, completely@@alexandradillard2077
This was great ! These two companies are 🔥 And to know that they are from Native Detroiters 🧡

great video!
it's nice to hear these memories
I feel sorry for Detroit, the next decade is going to be very difficult for them.
Fascinating to see how a company there is at least 10 years later in EV space... keep calling them selves the leader! Either it is bad joke or its complete dilution!
very interesting….being following this subject for while re Detroit.
I loved meeting Delane Parnell when he spoke at Detroit Homecoming in 2019. It was so heartwarming and inspiring to hear his story and vision. I love his manner. Loved hearing this update about esports being a letter sport and encouraging students in direction of stem. Awesome that he is back in Detroit again as well .... continuing to make a difference.
Why are some hard hat logos blurred?
Thanks for the video!
