Setting Up Mating Nucs
Переглядів 61 тис.10 років тому
Breaking down wintered nucleus colonies with mini-frames into 4 way nucs for mating queens. Horrendous weather, but the work must be finished on time because there are ripe queen cells due to come out of the cell building colonies tomorrow.
Good, i want one day join you to work and learn beekiping
Why so much filtering ? I spin and screen it and bottle it that’s not pure honey to me when it goes through all them filters is this what they make you do to sell it ?
sorry to see this , I watch your videos on UA-cam and use your advice on beekeeping
Love it snow on the ground and big clusters
When you over winter are you expanding the four frame mating nucs to nine frames for winter or doing four, four frame over four, four frames?
Why do u put workers in the queen cage with the queen? Thanks
Vauuuuuu ❤️😀👍
And there you have it, folks. This is how "Meat" became famous. Mike seems to be doing better these days as well. lol
Thanks for sharing this with us, Mike. You had me worried there for a moment, but you recovered nicely. lol
Does anyone know how to store Honey and home have a problem with it keeps crystallizing
That is horrible. Did the fence stop working? Would be nice to know your assessment on how to prevent this type of destruction from happening. Thank you.
Any preference on age of bee that you choose for attendants?
Bee Genius.
How long do u wait to put queen sells into the nucs
From Indonesia country🙋🙋🙋🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Michael, would you share or provide a link to your protein patty recipe?
That’s sad. Sorry all that happened to you.
Corry needs to resist licking his fingers when he is handling the merchandise
That…. is a bummer.
I work on sewer systems for a living, that set up reminded me of last job.....YUK .
Thank you for sharing that video. I agree that for bees in the box makes for better queens
👍
at what temperature can you open a hive 11ºC, 10ºC? what would be the minimum?
Ovo nije kranjska sivka ovo Italiana ili bakfast???
Američki bućkuriš 😁
Amazing, poetry!
Damn that's some hardcore manual marking stuff. When I mark, I end up using like $30 bucks worth of clips, tubes, and markers to get the job done. Not sure I could do it with just my fingers without killing her.
Un oso?
Wow that sucks mike
U
It’s weird be some of my bees stay down below the edge. And others just walk all around. I think it has to do with how much a hive is leaking air. If it’s leaking air all the time the bees are up there closing it. But if it’s sealed they are down. But this is with a brood box on top of the full brooding box. So that helps. I use empty brood boxes for heat to rise out of the cluster or brood area. It’s 100 for the last week and I’m freezing pollen patty too. Little ice packs for em.
Efficient Set-up 👍
Nastiest honey room on UA-cam

Smart.
Mr. Palmer, if I had known you had your own UA-cam channel, I would have been all over it a long time ago!
You are a great person to learn from mr mike. Your talk on sustainable apiarys is why i grafted and split this year only on my 2nd year. Thank you for putting out quality information
So cute the queen and other bees are! Why did the queen got yellow marker? Which bees were together with the yellow-marked queen?
The Queen is marked to make her easy to spot, the extra worker bees put in with her are to form the new hive with that queen bee
@@asummerday4448 Ah ok! Thank you very much!
Queenless?
Would that mean an infertile worker starts laying (drone and Queen eggs?)
The cows nose what happened
