Hope the Mission
United States
Приєднався 16 чер 2011
Hope of the Valley (HOTV) exists to prevent, reduce and eliminate poverty, hunger and homelessness by offering immediate assistance and long-term solutions to men, women and children throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Founded in 2009, HOTV has evolved from a small volunteer-driven operation, cooking and serving hot meals to homeless men, women, and children in the San Fernando Valley, to one of the leading homeless service agencies in LA. HOTV’s services have grown in response to the needs of the community. (Including four transitional living facilities, two bridge housing shelters, six tiny home villages, a recovery program, a 140-bed emergency shelter, one safe parking shelter, two access centers, and five thrift stores.) In 2020/21 HOTV increased the number of shelter beds by over 1000 beds! HOTV provides 500,000 nights of safe shelter, serves over 1.5 million hot meals and over 500,000 hot showers to those most in need annually. Together we can make homeless history.

ELEGANTE SEM PEÇA I WILL FIX UU!!!
I appreciate this so much cause now you know first hand what it is That is just a touch of what it is you still don’t know what it is to really be homeless I’m not homeless but my brother is and it’s heartbreaking
dude this was stupid as fuck. you have thousands in proper packs, gear, clothing, designer glasses. you might as. well paint big red Xs on yourselves. Wanna be homeless? dress yourself with $3 at salvation army, do meth for 2 days, then start out looking like shit with an itch to do more drugs. 😁
Very good...would love to do this in Houston.
You think a few days will really give you the complete picture? Try living in a car for a whole year.
Still there to take people's housing away right now for the most minor question
WTF Forced vaccinations or threatened to lose housing
WTF forced vaccinations or threatened to lose housing
They should of made Marnie sit on The Dunk Tank 😂😂😂😂
Las Angeles is the greatest city on earth? What about gangs?
going to gym and washing clothes for 4 days This isnt real The older guy is real The other guy is playing at it
Hi Ken I have spent the last 3 years in my Nissan Altima with my dog. I went Hope if the Valley in North Hollywood to apply for the tiny homes. They tried to discourage me by saying that I haven't been homeless long enough and that u don't want to stay there cause their is a lot of drug use an crime . I tried to follow up periodically with my assigned case worker only to find out that she longer works there. So I haven't heard from anyone at hope of the valley for 2 years. I'm mentally and physically exhausted living like this, don't know how much longer I can go on like this. What would u do if u were me?
Yeah try doing that at a shelter
How disgusting. I am glad I do not live near there, crime is going to skyrocket in that area. God forbid you teach them a trade, oh no let's just warehouse them. What a freaking joke. Disgusting!!!!!
I thought they supposes to share a tent together ❤
Is this guy an Australian? wondering where that guy got 5 k from bc he defo didnt work for it if he's giving it away.
No hope in California, period
I don't feel sorry for them. I just don't give up on life
ya n you like your own comments ya dam Goose.
Stop voting for communist problem will be solved by all of us working class people
If you don't have a job, you don't have a place to stay. That's just how america works
All it takes to have a place to stay is work your ass off get a job! I have been doing this My entire life nothing is for free.No matter what those Communist say
It's the only good thing Yet in that dump hole is nothing at all
Well, stop voting for Joe Biden and things will change. He's too busy focusing on opening the borders and letting all of them take over all of our homeless shelters
Wow, thank you for raising awareness. Homelessness presents unique challenges for everyone, but the perspective of women adds additional layers one may not consider, including the struggles of human trafficking and menstrual hygiene. Krissy, your efforts to spotlight these issues are invaluable. Keep up the great work!
should have done a week or two. it isn't that bad, knowing that at 40 hours you're fine. jfc, she doesn't even know how dew works. she's concerned about being oily.
Thank you Krissy! The streets are not a waiting room. As a woman with lived experience, it gets rough out there. HOPE, genuinely cares and helps people.
Why isn't these homes for the homeless you people lie to dam much
Hello, Hope on Hart Tiny Homes will be for those experiencing homelessness! Please see this page to learn more: www.hopethemission.org/kerncounty Thank you!
I have been a regular supporter of hope the mission since the beginning. They have done remarkable work in helping the homeless. I hope you take some time to find out more about their accomplishments. They are tremendously motivated to do good.
Awesome vid spreading awareness
This video is amazing shows awareness about the everyday life struggles of not having food, shelter and safety. Feeling grateful and fortunate to have a home.
so inspiring. I’m sobbing from my couch right now. We need more people like you guys in this deeply wounded country.
this is so amazing to see what your experience was like!
nice. i think someones net worth whether they are a billionaire or homeless is a function of mainly luck/time and chance/ happenstance. that is one thing i have learned from watch your videos and interacting with homeless
This is so true; life can change in a blink of an eye. Thank you for your support!
Thank You Krissy for taking this challenge on so gracefully!!
This experience has showed me so much. I am grateful to have a platform to speak out for others without exploiting someone currently facing the struggle. Hope the Mission will do great work in Kern County 🙌 Thank you to all of our community partners for supporting us through opening our newest tiny home facility.
Are they still there?
Mold is a SERIOUS ISSUE Causing MOLD ILLNESS. It Is A Real Thing CAUSING ALL KINDS OF HEALTH ISSUES!
Omg Dave I’m so fucking hungry for your’re food now, I love you dude keep going. 😭❤ This comment is not inappropriate I said I was hungry for his food……💀
God make all his wishing come true great men step up to really help the community
I currently have had to stay at the Alexandria Tiny Homes for the past yearand a half, it is the biggest location and it is terrible here. Terribly ran, some staff are ok but overall they let people get away with so much bullshit here. It takes alot for me to actually complain, but i will break it down what it is really like here just the facts. This one has over a 100 people at least maybe 200, and not even in an over exaggeration i would say 98% of the people here are either meth or fentanyl addicts or both. We have three years clean and dont want any part of that, which i get it people are going to do what they do. But we are forced to be on an aisle where the people across from us sell drugs right out of a hole they cut in the fence, and of course our house is the house right next to the fence. All day loud ass rude no respect having type crackheads come up to the fence screaming they want this much of that drug or this much that drug from the twacked out couple living in Tiny Home across from us. We have tried transferring locations the staff has told us wait five different times in the span of the past 18 months. Nobody gives a good fuck. We have taken pictures of them selling drugs out the fence, nothing gets done. We are supposed to be offered housing within 90 days, we haven't been offered housing even once and it's been over a year and a half. I am grateful to not be in the street but this place is like a torture chamber sometimes, while fiends loudly keep my wife and i up at night. We are in college and saving while we wait for an apartment. It would be nice to be able to feel comfortable where you live. I dont go even go outside my tiny home other then to throw thw trash away and sweep. Its "oh you gotta cigarette or this or that" Fuck no get the fuck outta my face i cant even afford my own vices like chewing tobacco let alone some person i don't knows. I just want a place that is peaceful respectful and quiet. We don't bother anyone or go near there space nothing, we only expect the same back. Safe place my ass, tweakers burnt down a whole aisle of homes only a couple months ago.
How do I get the number to call your I'm
LOVED IT!!! I want to thank you so much. That was BOMB!!!!
Not everyone in SoCal is too cool for rock and roll. We have long hair and we are here to help. Rock on if you need help. We are coming for ya!
