IOptron CEM70 3D Balance
The counterweight bar has about 1/8 inch of travel in either direction. Loosen the primary bolt and both set screws fully. Keep the RA axis clutch disengaged and the Allen wrench in the axis keyhole, especially when manipulating the bar horizontally and when loosening or tightening the primary bolt. Avoid applying lateral force to the counterweight bar while the RA axis clutch is engaged! This could compromise the gearing and lead to damage. Periodically reassess the 3D balance as you progressively tighten the primary bolt and set screws.

Module purchased from iOptron. Installation instructions available on their site.
Some explanation on what you are actually doing would have been useful.
Sorry friend, I just enjoy the background noice when I’m working. I added the information in the video’s description. Here it is, hope it helps: The counterweight bar has about 1/8 inch of travel in either direction. Loosen the primary bolt and both set screws fully. hay i am from france but a dutch person. now i use a 151phq with cem70 .. now my balance is not good i see that by my guiding its chance to much. so can you help me out with this? and i wil chance my home position in my obervation now i do always polar align on a pier that is wrong.. so yess if you can help me out thanks.
@@djraffness did you balance the third axis as shown? You can add weights to the weight bar or try moving it side to side as shown here. When you unlock the RA axis the telescope shouldn’t move in either direction.
also, my guiding was not good until i tightened the RA belt. It was very loose from the factory. iOptron website has the instructions on how to do this. Very easy, will take about 30 minutes.
How did you get the wifi parts?
Directly from iOptron. At the time of this video, the WiFi module was $145 USD.
@@carlosmaurixio Thank you
What exactly are you doing with the shaft ? Twisting it or pushing and pulling to balance it ?
I am pushing it side to side. It will move about 1/4 inch in either direction. It only takes a tiny bit of movement to come to complete balance.
