I’m sorry, but this video was so aggravating to watch. RJ introduced this back in March…how do you guys know so little about it? I was so frustrated watching this because I was hoping for some new insights, but you didn’t even know the R2, which I immediately reserved after it rolled out during the launch event, is starting at $45K. I thought you were “Dr. Know-it-All…” Had you known that and seen any other coverage out there, you would have never guessed $50K for the R3. $35K would be a more educated guess. A fully-loaded R3X, tri-motor may max out around $55K. Also, RJ already told us the R2/R3/R3X will come in single, dual and tri-motor configurations. I just don’t understand walking blind into doing coverage of a highly-anticipated vehicle like this, offering a first look with no real knowledge of it, when this is a niche with very devoted enthusiasts, craving more in-depth information. For those who are seeing the R3 for the first time, it would leave them with a lot of unanswered questions and inaccurate conjecture.

This is such a beautiful and useful video! Previously I have only found ones that made it look like a piece of cake, and even if it was with commentary, it commented on difficulties that came up at their level of climbing, which was difficult for me to ascertain. Now, after your much more specific descriptions placing this climb into context for me, it is pretty clear to me I'm nowhere near the shape I need to be to attempt this climb - and that it is really about the shape first, fear of heights second (I, to my knowledge, don't have a fear of heights, but I haven't been on such exposed terrain yet, so I also need to test that before attempting the Matterhorn). Regardless, I am in love with this mountain and want to climb it one day, when I will be suited for it! So please allow me a question: how much time did it take for you to ascend vs to descend? Not so that I can decide I can do it in the same amount of time, but to see the ascent-to-descent ratio I should be expecting - perhaps!
