Pink Floyd Bike

I've got a bike You can ride it if you like It's got a basket A bell that rings And things to make it look good I'd give it to you if I could But I borrowed it You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything Everything if you want things I've got a cloak It's a bit of a joke There's a tear up the front It's red and black I've had it for months If you think it could loo...
Pink Floyd High Hopes

Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young In a world of magnets and miracles Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary The ringing of the division bell had begun Along the long road and on down the causeway Do they still meet there by the cut? There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps Running before time took our dreams away Leaving the myriad small cre...

It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here And I'm most obliged to you for making it clear That I'm not here. And I never knew the moon could be so big And I never knew the moon could be so blue And I'm grateful that you threw away my old shoes And brought me here instead dressed in red And I'm wondering who could be writing this song. I don't care if the sun don't shine And I don't ca...
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? Did they get you to trade Your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange A walk on part in the war, For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were he...
Pink Floyd Arnold Layne

Arnold Layne had a strange hobby Collecting clothes Moonshine, washing line They suit him fine On the wall hung a tall mirror Distorted view, see through baby blue He dug it Oh, Arnold Layne It's not the same, takes two to know Two to know, two to know, two to know Why can't you see? Arnold Layne... Now he's caught a nasty sort of person. They gave him time Doors bang - chain gang - he hates it...
Pink Floyd Learning to Fly

Into the distance, a ribbon of black Stretched to the point of no turning back A flight of fancy on a windswept field Standing alone, my senses reeled A fatal attraction is holding me fast How can I escape this irresistible grasp? Can't keep my eyes From the circling sky Tongue-tied and twisted Just an Earth-bound misfit, I Ice is forming on the tips of my wings Unheeded warnings, I thought I t...
Pink Floyd Us and Them

Us, and them. And after all, we're only ordinary men. Me, and you. God only knows, it's not what we would choose to do. Forward he cried from the rear, And the front rank died. And the general sat and the lines on the map, moved from side to side. Black and blue, And who knows which is which and who is who. Up and down. And in the end it's only round and round, and round. Haven't you heard it's...
Pink Floyd When the Tigers Broke Free
Переглядів 97 тис.15 років тому
It was just before dawn One miserable morning in black '44. When the forward commander Was told to sit tight When he asked that his men be withdrawn. And the Generals gave thanks As the other ranks held back The enemy tanks for a while. And the Anzio bridgehead Was held for the price Of a few hundred ordinary lives. And kind old King George Sent Mother a note When he heard that father was gone....
Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb

Hello. Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone home? Come on, now. I hear youre feeling down. Well I can ease your pain, Get you on your feet again. Relax. I need some information first. Just the basic facts: Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain, you are receding. A distant ships smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips mo...
Pink Floyd The Fletcher Memorial Home

Take all your overgrown infants away somewhere And build them a home, a little place of their own. The Fletcher Memorial Home, for incurable tyrants and kings. Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one to...

Очень круто! Пробирает до пяток! 🔥👏
I love the Dark Country album's, great music but also has a strong message in a lot of their songs about the ongoing fight between our Lord & the devil.

I love this song... Very impressed! My new favorite song for sure. 👍❤
Yup the Greatest Of All Time Still but Unfortunately this song means way more than people realize in the year 2023 now more than ever it really means communication for the human race to not stop talking like Stephen hawking continues to say over and over again because he knew and that's why David Gilmour put him in the beginning for this Famous special meaningful song that gets more relevant in each passing day each passing month and each passing year the Doomsday Clock unfortunately keeps getting closer to midnight. Like Roger Waters said at a live performance this past year in 2022 live to the entire crowd and is more worried now than he was when he made another one of my favorite songs Two Suns and A Sunset with a more powerful meaning and situation that can happen if we stop talking and communicating like the other famous song David Gilmour sings about on his famous voice box that Stephens Hawkins commercial made relevant to help with the other meaning of this song because like him can't talk anymore without the help of technology but there message still stays the same about if we stop talking it will continue to lead us to the ultimate catastrophe another World War if were lucky not to escalate to past of no return into a Nuclear Apocalypse. Which is the final and last step of my other favorite song by Pink Floyd The Two Suns and a Sunset 🌇 unfortunately in 2023 the recipe for disaster is there and warning flags are going up constantly in my WW2 veteran family members heads for along time now because of it and every little thing that makes it easy for us to get there quickly now all the same ingredients that were happening before WW2 they say today is there just like in 1937 only worse this time everybody has the ability to wipe each other out with just one push of a button at hypersonic speeds the earth and mankind never has dealt with in all of are species history and existence can be over in less than 15 minutes now because of it and no massive oceans this time can prevent it on every side of the globe it's game over It's like one my favorite songs Folks Keep Talking from my favorite bands Pink Floyd when Stephen Hawking did his famous Commercial in the 90s saying as long as Mankind keeps communicating the human race still has a chance to turn it around no matter how close we get to another catastrophic global disaster like now we face in 2023 like some of my family who faught in WW2 so this never happens again unfortunately they now see all the ingredients are again like it was in 1937 only with hypersonic nukes and way more powerful and devastating warfare weapons on terrifying scale never thought possible it's almost incomprehensible to the mass destruction this will cause you think the most disturbing and scary movie in history threads about a nuclear Holocaust with the most realistic ending in movie history about really what will happen to are human race in end Which is not being able to reproduce because of radiation wasteland on a apocalyptic scale that even surpasses another great WW3 ending movie on the Beach made in the 1950s where Australia was the last country standing waiting for the end of are existence again either way you look at it people like this song represents we need to keep talking or else

loved 'The Final Cut'
Finally a song to express myself
No one told me when too run! I missed the starting gun 😮

Is this cut one’s channel or did you just post this song? I’m having trouble finding info on this band, and I really like one of their songs - it always looked so blue - which is really hard to track down online. The song is listed on some sites with incorrect lyrics and I can’t find anything when I search the actual lyrics.
Hey. I only posted this here, since it had a big impact on me when I found it. Just wanted to share it here.
"Time" has a monumental beginning, beautiful lyrics, great singing, fantastic solo and goes perfectly with "Breathe Reprise". Speaking in two words - Pink Floyd.
It would be better if parts 5 and 6 were mixed. We are all still waiting for the integral version of this best song ever. The early studio mix without the saxophone and with mixing of parts 5 and 6 is great and has a very dramatic transition between these parts, sounds so authentic! Maybe it can be released on a potential Middle Years - Volume 1974-75 along with some live performances, like the Los Angeles one in April 26, 1975 (the whole concert is amazing, especially the early version of Shine on - both halves with Have a Cigar in between).

Awesome
Always wanted to hear a cover of "Shine On" which began with "Adric's Theme" from _Doctor Who,_ just as a little shout-out.
Just magic.
In the beginning you can hear the church bell from High Hopes.
oh my goodness this song hits me hard way back years ago. after my family broke apart. i've been living on the road for so long with my bike and my backpack. it was a journey, i met people, and trying to recreate that family along the way. i found solitude riding the sundown. now i am back and well in life and well too hopefully, i will never forget the lessons i learned on my journey. it was gold. now am listening to this song now. pretty much sums up everything. be well everyone! there will always be a place for us!
😪😪
You are a certified real life bad ass
💯❤️🇲🇽
I can't and I've never been describe my feeling clearly like this song did. I hope to hear this song on Spotify ♡
one of my very favourites of this compilation
this is THE track to make love !
Isso é rogers Waters é demais
"Roger, Houston, go with throttle up..."
I remember when this album came out -- it had only been a few years into discovering Pink Floyd --- when my older brother brought this album home, I spun it often while he was gone... and I fell in love with it. It was also funny for me, that in later years (more recently) to find that the "hardcore Pink Floyd fans" had never even heard of this album. Although, this to me, feels more like a Roger Waters record, I still friggin' love it --- from the drop of the needle, till the run-out groove...
I want this played at my cremation. My wife says no though.
play this song in a planetarium please
Again old pink
Really old pink Floyd almost sounds a bit like Jethro Tull
I bet none of you guys knows what this song is about
Tell us.
When Sid Barrett was a young boy there was a girl who stole underwear from washing lines and the name was given “Arnold layne”
@@CosmicHandOfDoom Nice tidbit.
I have reached the end of the compilation and now I will give a review and sorry that this is very long. 1. Astronomy Domine - Starting the album where Pink Floyd started is perfect to me. 2. See Emily Play - Not a fan of this song but it was a single, which means it is more likely to end up on a best of compilation. 3. Happiest Days Of Our Lives/4. Another Brick In the Wall (pt. 2) - I can't listen to one without the other so I will pair them up. The songs aren't bad but I do get tired of hearing them over and over again. Probably the most overplayed Floyd song of them all. 5. Echoes - Too bad it was edited for time but still a great song. 6. Hey You - Beautiful song but seemed just a little too early in the mix. 7. Marooned - If your only going to include half of the song why include it at all? The best part of the song (which is the second half) was cut for time. Great song not being represented. 8. Great Gig In The Sky - Amazing vocals. Just WOW. I feel like it sort of feels weird hearing without hearing Time before it but it is fine. 9. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun - Why was this put in between Great Gig and Money? Great Gig goes perfectly into Money and Set The Controls interrupts. Great song, just badly placed. 10. Money - I love this song. One of my favorites. 11. Keep Talking - Interesting transition from Money to this. AN underrated piece from post Roger Waters albums. 12. Sheep - Great song but why is this the only song from Animals? Dogs? Pigs? none of that? I get it if Dogs is to long but Pigs is great and short enough if given the same editing treatment they gave Echoes. 13. Sorrow - I rarely say this with Floyd songs but the live version of this is so much better. Still an okay song. 14. Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Amazing tribute to Syd. Amazing Song. 15. Time - Another great song coming after a great song. I knew Great Gig was already done with but I was still shocked to not hear the intro of Great Gig after Time ended. 16. The Fletcher Memorial Home - eh 17. Comfortably Numb - Still amazing, Forever will be amazing. 18. When The Tigers Broke Free - Interesting pick to include this song which hadn't been on an album previously. 19. One Of These Days - Best instrumental song from Pink Floyd 20. Us And Them - Great Song but again with weird placement. In between One Of These Days and Learning To Fly. Slows things down just to pick them right back up. 21. Learning To Fly - Live version has the better intro but good song. 22. Arnold Layne - Another good Syd song. 23. Wish You Were Here - Great song 24. Jugband Blues - My second favorite Syd Barrett era song and his last with Pink Floyd. :( 25. High Hopes - Best song from the post Waters era. Amazing and emotional song. 26. Bike - What an underwhelming ending. High Hopes would have been a great ending. Begin with the first track of the first album (Astronomy Domine) and end with the final song of the final album (High Hopes). Yes I know about the Endless River, but Echoes was released before that. Would have been perfect. I don't like Bike at all. Songs that could have been included in my opinion: Welcome To The Machine Brain Damage/Eclipse Fat Old Sun On the Turning Away The Trial (very unlikely since it would be weird out of context) Mother Pigs (Three Different Ones) Please give me feedback because everyone has different opinions.
Just Clinton Bike is the closing song on The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. This Echo album has the same opening and closing songs with The Piper, which turns it into a wonderful time capsule.
future enclosed in the past
Tigers Broke Free is on Final Cut, on? It's not unreleased.
@@mickeyrube6623 It was on Final Cut after this compilation.
Beyond genius
2:00 Sounds like a horror movie soundtrack

its 4am and im in love with this song.
I love this song.. I think is about.. You try to help everyone, and lose your self.. But people dont care about you when their problem is done...?
I think that is a beautiful way of putting it. For me, this song charges a strong sense of determination whenever I'm up against a challenge.
I see it as my story and story of a lot of my brothers in arm you join the forces then you been deployed overseas for many rounds then you get injured and in the end when you come back home you find yourself in stranger world with nothing to do except to drink or to die
Don't stop helping people my friend. Don't stop. Because someday you 'll meet somebody like you, like me. Here that time you 'll find real friendship at the sametime :')
@@thewisetree2292 I hope so.. Thanks my friend..
I felt what you said… yes i think that’s why I’m stuck with this song…
Lads what exactly is a anzio bridgehead?
I love this stuff
Great way to end this album!
