3985 is being restored by the RRHMA and will be out in the high iron soon

That 3985 Challenger is some piece of mechanical engineering it would probably take 2 or 3 diesels to get 143 cars up that grade

I just had to count cars. 67 plus caboose. 1 am and just killing time.

I still have pictures of 3985 the very last time it came through Indiana around October or November of 1992 and stopped in our town of Vincennes. They stayed for about an hour and I was able to get a picture standing in front of it, my head no higher than the top of what i think most call the cattle catcher part of the pilot. Man it was massive.

I would absolutely love to work for The Union Pacific Railroad and be able to work on the Union Pacific 3985 Challenger. I also love to hear a steam engine blow its own whistle!

It's important to keep as many of these old steam engines in operation as possible and maybe even create new modern steam engines. The diesel engines are great, but what happens if oil production stops, we experience an EMP attack, or suffer under a major coronal mass ejection from the sun? The effect is the same. Diesel engines will permanently quit operating. Steam engines have no electronics to destroy and can be configured to use wood, coal, or oil to keep goods moving across the country.

Awesome. I love it. Amazing detail. But I think I saw an M60 tank in with your WWII. :) Huge cannon barrel at the end, I'm guessing for Iowa class battleship. Thanks for the multiple views. Firetruck scenery is a great detail. Steam locomotives look sweet.
