Why Empathy is Important?
Have you ever wondered "Why is empathy important"? Is empathy really important for leaders, and if so why is it important?

Managing stress is essential for maintaining overall well-being and productivity. Adopting healthy stress management techniques can significantly improve your quality of life.
This is me. I have more technical skills that management so they don’t know what they don’t know and think I’m lower level than I am. Also I am technical and they are political. I can code away a job then find out an exec will criticize something unimportant and ignore all the good work
At the end of the day it's money in my pocket,that is how I look at it, and a job has never been my identity your not going to find a perfect job in this world.

Leaders need to learn how to be respectful to their team if they want to receive it. Also, say the truth and don't lie. The amount of gaslighting I've seen time after time is a lot to make good employees frustrated with their management.

I'm a new crew leader, but I have someone on my crew I know from another company, and we are having the same issues. Nothing has changed about his behavior in years. He's dismissive, and the headphones are becoming a conversation blocker, and takes too long to hand down directions.
Congratulations on your new role as crew leader. You mentioned that he has been like this for years. Have his previous leaders ever tried to address his behavior?

@@simplyuniquecoaching he was sent to weed whip the graveyard. We do landscaping, and the pun was a double entendre. He got sent from a job that was drive around all day, to weed whipping head stones. 12k-18k steps at a graveyard. I did it voluntarily to help prepare for memorial day. 30 men mowing and whipping for 10 hours. 15+ per hour. I'm not above working in the trenches to show I can do it better. Never rub a nose in anything other than poor work. I walked a 600 home neighborhood with a guy that missed a lot of work. I will hold hands. Some people are just difficult, and it stresses me out. Didn't help I spilled my coffee right after the first sip. My whole day was off, so I also took your advice to make sure I wasn't the problem. He hit someone with his mower, I'm pissed.
@@simplyuniquecoaching this is my 3rd management position. 1 pizza delivery place after doing delivery for a week, and jumping in with the cook, and pizza oven side. By week 2 I was a cook, and week 3 management. After 4 months had the place shut down because of cleanliness standards, and I was training for my "serve safe" certification. Health code training. I was on my hands and knees showing how it is done. But an insubordinate situation happend there also. I had gotten in a fist fight with this younger fellow because years before. I'm older by 8. He swung, I connected, and he held the grudge. Apparently I broke 1/2 his face. I was young and chose the unprofessional response. I acted like I didn't know him to save him grace, he talked shit, and I slipped and said. "Want me to break the other half?"
I'm trying to level with him, without coming down to his level. Personal growth is my goal. If I can learn to truly control people, I may actually grow as a person. I have mastered myself. 😎 next...the common man.

This video is very confirming. Another point that I'd mention is sometimes you cannot share with well intending people because their faith may not be in the same zone as you. You don't want their doubt, or pressure to act a certain one, to dismay you.
