A few random snapshots captured on a hike to Sawyer Pond in New Hampshire. Along the trail, we spotted a couple of woodland toads. While we were enjoying lunch at the edge of the pond, a Belted kingfisher swooped in to check us out. We spotted Ebony jeweling damselflies by a stream that feeds the pond. I camped there every Summer from 1966 to 1971. I was a teen.
Only the faces are different. My family spent 6 consecutive summers at Lower So. Branch. I will never forget it.

Greetings, Thank you for watching my video, your comment, and your suggestion. I created the slideshow in celebration of Art's recent birthday. He is a longtime friend and hiking companion. The other night, Art, friends, and I gathered to watch slideshows of pictures from a few of last year's outdoor adventures that we had enjoyed together, so I took the opportunity to compile some random snapshots that Arty was in for a short presentation. My intention was to celebrate Art's presence and the presence of our community of friends on the planet.

Hey guys great idea to ride up and hike down. My really big issue is the dorky banjo music during this whole event. I had to mute my speakers. What's that go to do with hiking the Whites? I would rather hear Mother Nature. Even the song of silence would be better since that is what I heard when I was there.
