Single Phase Flow
Переглядів 643 роки тому
The flow of a fluid as a gas or liquid is observed in plenty of applications. To calculate the valve flow coefficient, lift and drag coefficients of airplanes, drones & cars, wind load on structures, pressure drop in pipes and valves, water hammer in pipes, and air motion in HVAC systems the single-phase flow simulation is performed. ENA2 has rich tools and experienced specialists to conduct si...
Porous Media

Any material containing void spaces such as rocks and soil, or any objects with very fine gaps such as radiators and grills are considered as porous zones. Flow simulation in porous media is performed widely to study water movement in geothermal reservoirs, underground spreading of chemical wastes, porous material characteristics determination, infiltration, enhanced oil recovery, etc. CFD spec...
Multi Phase Flow CFD

The motion of gas bubbles in a liquid, oil drops in water, and solid particles in the air are examples of multiphase flows where two or more fluids are separated by distinct interfaces. These types of flows are widely observed both in nature and industries. To analyze sloshing of the fuel in tanks, cavitation around pumps and propellers, ocean wave loads on ships and structures, gearbox lubrica...
SIMULIA Tips & Tricks for Abaqus Advanced Hex Meshing in Abaqus CAE
Переглядів 3843 роки тому
Hexahedral (brick) meshing should be used whenever possible in any finite element analysis (FEA) model. A brick element is an element with an arbitrary polyhedral shape, consisting of 6 faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges. When compared with tetrahedral (triangular) elements, brick elements generally provide greater accuracy and require less number of elements given the same cell size. It may not a...

    A question. Why 3ds bought PowerFLOW even though they already have XFLOW which is also the same Lattice Boltzmann system? Is there anyone who knows the story?

    Hi, thanks for the video! I have a question? How can I define the application of the dead load if an explicit dynamic step is present in the analysis? Because in this case I can't introduce a previous static general step in wich I can define it.

    What's the difference between x flow and power flow

    • @ena2innovativeconsultingin281
      @ena2innovativeconsultingin281 2 роки тому

      Hi Abedeen, so the difference is that XFlow is a good program for high-fidelity CFD. Using Lattice-Boltzmann technology, XFlow will allow the engineer to solve complex problems involving high-frequency transient simulations with real moving geometries, multiphase flows, free-surface flows, and fluid-structure interactions. A prominent feature of XFlow is its automatic lattice generation- which minimizes user inputs, leading to reduced effort in the meshing and pre-processing phases. This allows users to place their focus on design iteration and optimization, rather than simulation setup. and PowerFLOW was developed with the automotive and aerospace industries in mind, leveraging Dassault's Lattice-Boltzmann-based physics to perform simulations that accurately predict real-world conditions. The software performs aerodynamic, aeroacoustic, and thermal simulations with accuracy and efficiency.

      FMK is a very good program for designers. You can run a simulation, update your geometry in SolidWorks based on the results, and those changes will automatically update in FMK. Then, you can run another simulation on the new model. Because of this, designers are able to iterate very quickly, leading to a more optimized design. XFlow is a good program for high-fidelity CFD. Using Lattice-Boltzmann technology, XFlow will allow the engineer to solve complex problems involving high-frequency transient simulations with real moving geometries, multiphase flows, free-surface flows, and fluid-structure interactions.
