which lights are you using? nice scape !
@@Aquactics thank you I'm using beamswork
This scape opens up the center of the tank. I like it. How about a school of Congo tetras? They are pretty, and also larger than your average tetra so the angel won't bother them. Happy New Year to y'all!
@AE6YT-Glenn thank you and happy new year to you to my friend

This is the slightly updated version of the filter we need. Notice the color touch screen panel with a fully controllable app. It even has a built-in heater! ua-cam.com/video/v-UNwcmpgvU/v-deo.htmlsi=ZdHp8Rfi26joA8ly
@danielwatts9803 that is nice
Other than that one long stem plant going across horizontally, it doesn't look overgrown at all.
I have some Water Wisteria, and it gets "leggy" quickly. Every couple of months I pull it out, cut the bottom half off, reattach the weights, and replant them. I have them in the rear on one side of my tank. I like them, but they do need more attention than your average plant. Opening up your tank would be nice, and maybe dealing with your Wisteria is all it needs. I would start there, let it sit a day or two, and see if that is enough of a change. If not, then work with some of the other plants. I do like that long, streaming plant that's in the right front, but maybe it needs to be moved back a few inches. You have a nice-looking tank, and you are making me think about a cannister filter for my tank. Take care and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas
@@blackwolf1987ks Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.
Hey good brother I love the look of the bare bottom blackout I have the same look on my bare bottom discus tank. How do you blackout the silicone?
@@joecross3g the silicone was already black
I need one badly! My tank is only a couple months old and already the babies are everywhere you look! My local Petco (all I have here in the boonies) does not carry these loaches! I'll have to order online!
@commonsense246 so far it's been knocking them down so I would recommend trying one if you get a chance
I don't mind the snails, what I mind is how many! I'll have to look into a Yoyo Loach. Your aquarium looks great with the plants growing in. Take care.
@AE6YT-Glenn thank you so far it's working hopefully it's keep going good
Great job on snails 👍✌️🇨🇦
@@gk9417 thank you
I guess they will eat shrimp in the tank 🤷✌️🙏🇨🇦
@@gk9417 I'm not sure on the shrimp
@@blackwolf1987ks yeah they eat shrimp, especially small ones.
Dwarf pea puffers are great also they feast on pest snails 🐌
Personally never tried loaches but did try assassins snails, they worked really effectively at killing the pest nails. Only thing was they bred like mad and now I have loads of them :'D
Snails are great indicators.
It sounds like you’re getting too much light if your tank is lit up by the sun when your lights are on your probably increasing algae growth, causing your snails to reproduce too much. Also try cutting back on feeding. Snails will only reproduce if they have an abundance of food. I light all my setups for 7 hrs a day, I have a betta that I light for 6 and that keeps snails and large under control while also keeping the plants in good shape
It'll be interesting to see if this one loach can live up to his reputation. Take care.
@@AE6YT-Glenn I'm hoping so
Beautiful tank! A coupla assassin snails should keep those pest snails in check. I need some myself. Take care.

Hey did you solve the priming problem? Because I have the same problem? Thank you 🙏
@zare5380 i tried taking apart the intake piece it has a rubber piece and a small bolt on it that came lose but it only worked for a short time and still didn't want to hold it suction when cleaning the filter so I just went to another brand
Im watching unboxings to figure out what the hell those extra stick pieces are for, did you ever figure it out. You seemed just as confused and it doesn’t say anything in the manual
@michaelb9448 i never figured it out but they weren't needed
That 55 is really looking nice! The plants are starting to fill out and are looking healthy. What is the plant at the far right that has taken off? Take care, and I really enjoy your tanks.
@AE6YT-Glenn thank you I can't remember the name but I ordered it from dustinfish tanks
That's so beautiful. Great looking aquariums

How’s it holding up? Thinking of getting this to add to my 120gal cichlid tank with my fx4. Just as a secondary. Any leaks or issues? Petco got them on sale right now $100
@@Jlui83 it works well except for when you have to prime it after cleaning
@@blackwolf1987ks what do you mean? The priming doesn’t work? Or that you just have to prime it?
@Jlui83 when priming it the suction dosent hold when you go to clean your filter so it can be difficult to get it going again
Your tank is looking good. Can you tell me where you bought the driftwood from. Thanks
@bryanimpala I bought it off of ebay they sent random pieces

What is the amount of wattage this big boy will be pulling? I like that it has 2 in and 2 out puts. Who makes this filter? Just have to say they hit it on the nose when they added wheels to this huge canister filter. I cna imagine how much it weighs when full with water. How big is your aquarium that you need that much beef on it? By the way looking at this video for the first time even though you posted this a month ago. Would like to know after a month or so of having this enormous canister filter running how are you equally excited on the performance issues on your Hyper Max 4500? Very informative video I must add. You look like you just have purchased a filter that may be up and running for years to come. Never heard of this brand of filter would like to know how you stumbled upon this filter. Was it recommended by someone you know or were you just browsing in the filter department and decided on the Cadillac of filtration. I started watcing this and while writing I heard the first question that I was asking which was the wattage this big acnister will be using. Do you have the option to just use 1 intake and 1 out take to maybe increase or decrease the amount of water movement to your friendly sea creatures. Salt or freshwater is it being used for? Interesting video as I am getting ready to clean my aquariums. wondering if you can use on 2 seperate aquariums as well? Again thanks for bringing this aquarium filter into perspective. I am more of a classic Eheim person and my go to for HOB filters is Aqua Clear. Very much I go to filters that have been around for a while as I don't want to come home to any surprises. Still I don't want to take away from a upcoming filter that may as well have you, to look at as a help to build up sales for them. Maybe when it comes to replacement parts you can send them this video and maybe get a discount on replacement parts. I would definitely put on clamps especially being that those candy cane's as you call them don't seem to have ridges on them and seem to be smooth finish. Then again who am I to tell you what to install on your new canister filter. For someone who says they don't like bashing other companies for there filtration methods and hoses from other type of manufacturer's, You did a hell of a good job name calling them all out. Example Fluval X-5 and Sun Sun canister's. Great job on the video. Coming to you from the city that never sleeps. If you can figure that one out? See how I didn't call out my city and still gave you a slight hint of the city. .
@jasonirizarry8461 appericate the comment.. the filter itself has a plus and minus button the head itself so you can adjust the flow which in return the wattage used depends on the amount of flow you choose to use ..I've already did a cleaning on it just to see how well it works and honestly it seems like you can run it for about 3 to 4 months depending on your bio load before cleaning it is heavy when load with water and media but the wheels do help alot I run it on my 125 geophagus tank but since you can adjust the flow you don't have to run it at 100%. I ran across this filter when I was looking up filters to try in replace of my fx6 and saw this one and did a little research before buying now for running it on you different aquariums because of the to inputs and outputs I honestly wouldn't but it isn't out of the realm of possibilities though that was a good question by the way..I can run of both fresh and saltwater aquariums and aqua el makes the filter they also make other models that are smaller so far no issues with it but only time will tell but I would say give it a try though it's very quiet still cause I know some canisters I used in the past that got noisy after cleaning it the first time so far not this one
Good review. I'll have to look them up. I use primarily sponge filters, two per tank. Sometimes I add a box filter. I like box filters; they were what I started out with in the 60s and I'm familiar with their use. Right now, I'm fighting a bacteria bloom and ammonia spike in my show tank, so I'm running a box filter with filter floss, Zeolite, and a fine filter pad. It's slowly getting the aquarium back under control. When it gets better, I'll put a finer filter pad and maybe some charcoal in the box filter. Your water is always so clear! Is it due to using cannister filters, Purigen, or both? Take care.
@@AE6YT-Glenn it's mostly from using purigen

Happy Saturday! You have at least one male, and probably a second, angelfish. (I look for the forehead bump that most cichlids have.) That's a healthy-looking tank and I like the scape. When I had fish stealing food from another species, I'd feed them again a half-hour or so later. Plan B was to feed them a totally different food, like a sinking wafer. Take care, and I still need to watch that canister filter video.
Im sure you will get around to it when u have time
Appreciate this video!! I've been thinking about getting one in the future. Did you find a deal on yours? I've seen them listed for $499.00.
@Wizardsfishbox no I didn't find a deal I had to pay full price but so far it's working really good more update on a later video
Been running this filter for a while now, holds a ton of media ,very high flow rate ,and way quieter than my FX6. Noise being the biggest plus for me as the FX is still an excellent filter and I'm still running it on another aquarium but not in my living room. I recommend all Aquael filters for quiet value for money filtration. One tip I offer is when cleaning the prefilter you do the following....with the filter running close the valves bringing water into filter first, wait for 20 seconds the close the out of filter valves, then stop the filter, you won't get water everywhere when you open up the prefilter to clean it....All the best From Ireland, the Hypermax is definitely a great filter .
@mediscusnut7994 thank you for the advance on cleaning and I do agree with on the fx6
When I bred angelfish (decades ago) I found that you needed tanks, a few tanks. A breeding tank for the "courting" pair, a "nursery" tank for the baby fish, and as you've seen, sometimes the pair need to be separated. I also used a big "pickle jar" to put the eggs is with an airstone to keep the water circulating. Some people get them to spawn in a big community tank, but it has to be the right pair who continue to work together and have not very aggressive tankmates. I like your tank. I'm finding that my Water Wisteria wants to take over the tank unless you trim it back. It tends to get leggy, so I've had to take some of mine out, cut off the bottom half and replant it. I still need to sit down and watch your filter video, as I've never had a canister filter and would like to learn about them. Take care.
@@AE6YT-Glenn thank you if you decide to watch it hopefully you will enjoy it
nice unboxing greetings from belgium
@yamasupportaccount4332 thank you I appericate that
Yes, moving out the other angels would be best for all of them. It'll be interesting to see how well the new parents do raising up their fry. New parents sometimes don't do the right thing. You keep breeding fish you'll have a fish room! Over the years I've bred many different species of fish, but none of my angelfish made it to adulthood. Don't be discouraged if it takes a few spawnings until they get the hang of raising the babies. Take care.
Those are beautiful angels! I'm in the market for a four-foot light, so it's interesting to see the different ones y'all have. So far, I'm using sponge and box filters. I do not care for the HOB (hang on back) filters, as everyone I've tried ends up pumping water onto the floor. I've never had a canister filter, but that may change some day. Take care.
Only happy angelfish lay eggs. Good to see. Take care.
I've always loved angelfish. It looks like you have one or two males there. Everything looks so good! Take care.
