Pine Marten Destroys Egg Box
The Pine Marten visits most evenings, recently started to leave a raw egg on the feeding table, last night the egg got stuck to the box base, he very cleverly destroys the box from around the egg.

Pine Marten and Badger Encounter On Our Feeding Table
Переглядів 53410 років тому
Pine Marten and Badger both visit every night but very rarely at the same time, this is a short video of their meeting a couple of nights ago. We leave peanut butter sandwiches on the step for the badger and on the table for the pine marten who isn't in the mood for sharing!
Owl Takes Our Visiting Mouse

This little mouse appears most nights and eats the peanut butter sandwich leftovers that we put out for the Pine Martens and Badgers. Sadly, that's the end of Activity Mouse.

Knew we had at least two Pine Martens feeding every night but they rarely appear together, they arrived together last night Thurs.30th Aug.2013, they do not seem too territorial and the first is happy enough to leave.
Pine Marten and Badger Encounter on House Steps

Both been visiting every night, but this is the first time filmed together. In the background badger cubs who sometimes come onto the steps. Maybe the growling from Badger is because the cubs are around.

Amazing how many animals fear a Marten but cats take them on.
Los gatos son territoriales, atacaran a cualquier otro animalito que pueda dar muerte. 😎💪
Marten wins if they fight.
Who feeds martens at the house ? They are varmints and get hunted even here in Germany!
Go cat, damn you marten
It's more likely pine marten was growling at 0:20, badger's growling is more deeper and doesn't sound like on this vid
If it was a Fisher, that cat wouldn’t have stood a chance.
La Marta habrá sido joven si hubiera sido experimentado no se habría salvado el gato!!!
That pine marten was holding back but it could have easily attacked the cat I've seen how fast they move the cat wouldnt have had a chance
I had a cat and a ferret and they loved to play but there were times the cat could have easily killed the ferret when she had him pinned.
Meso predator battle!!
Martens kill deer, elk, monkeys, fight wild dogs, small bears, and are one of the few hunters that regularly try going after unpredictable and feisty squirrels. Then there's the house cat. Not as fierce a hunter, but more cunning and badass.
waste of a minute nothing happened
Cat > yellow throated marten, saw it with my own eyes. Same size.
Dont fuck with cats
A good reason why cats should be exterminated!

I love how the cat is rubbing up against the feeding table. It's not enough just to scare the Pine Marten away. The cat also has to claim the entire territory for itself as well.
cats are hilarious. the kitty tries to attack and makes thunderous sounds to warn the marten then curls up alongside the branch like a kitten wanting comfort from his/her owner 😁
What are you feeding those martens?
Cute! Was the marten eating bread?
Lol the Pine Marten's thinking :WTF is this ferocious thing?
That cat is crazy
Excellent real time work. Very enjoyable for us that have lived around those animals before and soon again.
That cat was pissed 🤣 😾
This is the sort of thing why I will continue to remorselessly kill any cat that comes into our yard.
That cat would make short work of that Martin if they ever got into it. Pound-for-pound cats are possibly the most deadly nonpoisonous animal alive.
Not too sure about that. Cat would win with an ambush I think, but mustelids are hard to beat face to face. The size of each would be a big factor. Realistically both would probably die from their wounds if neither ran. Felids and mustelids are definitely the two most admirable animal families either way, incredibly skilled, powerful and beautiful creatures
@@ups7739 You completely underestimat cats. Don't be fooled by the tame house cat sleeping on your couch. Cat would grab the pine Martim and shake it to break it's neck, grab it by the throat to choke it to death or bite through it's skull for instant death. Pound for pound cats are the deadliest animals alive. For example, one on one a 150 lb mountain lion would quickly kill a 150 lb wolf.
For fucks sakes these UA-cam geniuses with their infinite "knowledge" on things.... Everything is just the opposite in here xDD
ua-cam.com/video/lKidBXlgPI0/v-deo.html
It's all in the attitude...
A normal tom cat can beat any Martin
Were these household pets? Wild Martens and large feral cats would be a tough fight. I wouldn't won't that to occur.
Fuck Martens
Be a tough call, on who would win, a cat aint no pet & just a domesticated wild animal, it has hardly any loyalty to who thinks owns it, it would move next door if its warmer & fed well, the Pine Martin is the footy thug of the outside world, its raving nuts & raving game & has no fear, my money is on the Dr Pine Martin.
ua-cam.com/video/EBaGrGZaCew/v-deo.html
Yea until the marten snaps it’s all fun and games
Cats are apex predators, and you're an idiot.
I recently witnessed my Tom cat 🐈 attack and run off an opossum from his food bowl.
I had two 15 pound male tabbies that routinely chased off full sized opossums from their food bowl. They were born feral and killed anything that couldn't run away fast enough. The opossums always left quickly. lol
good kitty! </3
Tenacious savagery armed with a powerful bite and ridiculous stamina vs. Lightning quick assassin armed with four sets of razor sharp claws and a sharp set of teeth.
I saw a marten on the feeding table, but no cat.
The bravery of the cat will not be tolerated now give the cat the fish trophy
First part is comical. Seriously though, I would have thought a marten would demolish a cat any day.
You'd have to be an idiot to think that.
No way people underrate cats big time. Foxes won't fight cats for good reason.
Sirius Leigh you right a cat is no competition for a marten would rip it apart
Go Cat
Damn cat.
Only little species that can kill marten is a little jungle cat
domestic cats kill them all the time.
I’m dying🤣
No. No, you're not. Don't be silly.
House cat got lucky
Cat would kill that thing
Cats are mini tigers so would be interesting to see them fight
Yes they are.
Pine Martens are mini honey badgers so I’d keep my cats away
@@chamberlandfill depends what cat, some cats are just not build like others. Siberian cat would most likely win because of how thick it’s fur is. Mink would have a really hard time betting through it. If the Siberian Cat is feral than there’s no doubt cat would win, feral cats are some of the most ruthless animals out there.
Great video here! Domestic cats will and do kill stoats ferrets juvenile martens, but will not kill adult martens or adult mink. We have a pine Martin that visits our garden no better friend for taking out vermin better than the neighbors cat and there a native animal.
*they're. The contraction of they are. It's not difficult.
@@markfox1545 thank you I do know that but when you are typing 🤯 but thank you again
There're cats a lot bigger & meaner than yours. I had a Maine coon come by my house for a few months one winter & then he left. I lived in RURAL eastern Oregon on a giant ranch. That cat was fully capable of keeping himself alive in a place where wolves & mountain lions were very common.
Your pine will destroyed cats have claws to hold prey.
