In my recent interview with youtube.com/@annamalai.k and youtube.com/@TheHinduOfficial, I talked about my journey of learning Tamil and the beauty of the language. Today I would like to share more about the letter "zha". I feel that the letter "zha" is the soul of Tamil. Watch people from different walks of life bring "zha" to life in words, conversations and even a song. What is your favorite ...

Bhogi Celebrations: A Festival of Tradition
Переглядів 24621 день тому
Bhogi marks the beginning of the Pongal festival, where we discard the old and embrace the new. The Bhogi fire symbolizes letting go of the past by burning old household items, making way for fresh beginnings. The intricate kolam with a deepam (lamp) in the center and a yellow pumpkin flower placed on top of cow dung brings light and positivity. Bhogi isn't just about rituals; it's about family...

Beautiful, thank you for highlighting this Brian, best wishes to you and the team. Looking forward to more productions.
@@sridevisriram136 Thanks Sridevi! A LOT more to come, we have beautiful content that didn't make it into the documentary film for various reasons, so we'll be sharing here with everyone the amazing dialects, traditions, and arts we collected from over 200 interviews with folks from India, Malaysia, S'pore and Sri Lanka.
Great to watch this Brian🎉

வாழியவே!
I. Missed 1.Thriconamalai or Matakallapu area eastern srilankan dialect 2. Bangalore dialect 3. Mysore dialect of mandyam and hebbar community 4. Up country Tamil in central srilanka 5. Negambo dialect in western coasts of srilanka. 6. Not sure may be padapu dialect spoken in chittor district of andhra. Even though it's is amazing work hats of to a "THAMIZH STUDENT"
Agree with you! Points well received. நன்றி. ஓம் - மீன் பாடும் தேன் நாடு, திருகோணமலை, மலையகம் உட்பட, அங்கே இருக்கிற ஆட்களை மறக்கேயில்லே நாங்கள். அங்கே கன பேர் வேறு மாதிரி கதைக்கினம் எண்டு தெரியும். Our "Beyond Words" documentary covers this a little more at length. We do have an interview representing the Eastern Province in addition to Jaffna. We unfortunately were not able to cover the Central Highlands or the Western dialects. The challenge is drawing the line between "macro" and "micro" dialects and coming up with reasonable regional representations without getting too complex for a general audience. As we looked at the dialects, it was like an onion, with more and more to peel back and learn with each layer! Each and every dialect has its own beauty and uniqueness.

yadhum oorey yarvarum kelir (meaning wherever i go it is my home whoever i meet is my people world is my home and everyone is my people this is written by a tamil poet around 2700 years ago) - Even from ancient times Tamil literature said one thing very clearly there is nothing in blood u dont have to inherit something from ur parents so according to that anyone who learns, respects Tamil language and willing to pass on it to next generation they are Tamilian to us.. Brain u r a Tamilian to us..
