Where did you get the reference photos from? I’m struggling to find them
Through body and fender neck with the truss rod access at the base of the neck I wanna seeeeee
How did you route the pickup cavity?
looks and sounds fantastic! 🤙
At 3:35 , where do those spiky washers go? Doesn’t look you you ended your using them ? -Thanks!
"Mutt" was literally also the first song I played on my bass after restringing and switching up the pickups 👊🏾
Awesome videos, man. That bass is sick. I want one myself.
Why did you take out the jazz pickup though? Mark actually uses that on in one of his main basses as well.
very nice, but you went way to heavy on the spray. you need to do about 3-5 coats of epoxy pore fill, then a sanding sealer and then several fine mist coats of the colour, before loads of layers of clear laq. very nice budget project though.
Crazy damn good job !! 🔥 Thanks for sharing 😍🥰
hey man, could you send me the sticker file?
dont do this to your instrument :(
Congrats. It looks like shit.
What did you use to fill the cavity’s
So awesome! Great work!
this wouldve been a great asmr video, still a good watch though!
This looks awesome! Great job with it. How were you able to get such clear close up photos?
Great job dude, I wish I can do it myself 🤘🏻😂
Nice job! - Can you give a deeper insight on how you install the SPB-3 with just the volume knob?
Nice dear
Great time during quarentine.
I can’t get over how epic this is. Right on dude!!
Did you have to route the pickup to be the way it is? Most of these pre builds appear to be the reverse unless they all have that swimming pool type?
Yeah, had to add the routing for the reversed pickups. No swimming pool on this particular bass.
@@joelewisrandall thanks!!
Great work man! I am looking for a donor Jag body to build a replica myself! Where did you get the custom plate built? Was it difficult to explain what was needed?
Good luck! I looked up someone making replacements for this particular bass on eBay (so they'd have the right dimensions for neck pockets/screw positions etc.). When I was messaging the guy I just sent loads of pictures and trusted his feedback - came out really well I think.
Nice dyi bruh. Putty of choice? also where did you get your pick guard and pick ups from?
Pickguard was a custom on eBay - sent loads of pictures to get it right! Pickups were bought in store at GuitarGuitar in he UK. I wanted to be able to see them to know they were the real deal (which you can't do so well online).
@@joelewisrandall Thanks bro; I guess the risk was wroth taking...lol. Glad it worked out... Did you use plastic wood for putty?
wow, weel done!
Sanding sealer...
Sanding sealer...
Nice! I would do that with something like my Jazz bass but one, I have no money and two I wouldn't know what to do
Man, you're brave to have gone for repainting it! Looks great. I've done a similar thing converting my Jazz to Hoppus P-Bass. Lots of fun and loving the SPB-3.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice Job!
Thanks!
Nice bass man! What do you use for filling the cavities?
Thank you! I used some lightweight wood cut offs and a little epoxy. Because the original MH bass has the paint cracked around the old cavity I wasn't too concerned with getting it absolutely perfect.
Looks and sounds great, dude!
Dude! I gotta get one of these. If you ever decide to do commissions let me know! I've been wanting a custom hot pink or orange one for YEARS.
Good taste man! Have you checked out thalassacustombasses.com (not my site, but Allan is REALLY good at making customs)
Hi, dude where you buy the custom pickguard?
Custom order on eBay! Search Squier Jaguar Pickguard and just send someone a message to see if they can do it :)
it came out really good!! congrats!! Now I feel inspired on doing one my self!
nice built!! I've already considered doing what you did here before.. once I "went hoppus" on my old Jazz bass, I have a video of it on my channel
Love the racing stripe 💛
Thanks for uploading this project. Where did you get the custom pickguard made?
Custom pickguard maker on eBay, they were really good. I just sent some pictures and some measurements and it was in my hands really quickly. Username on eBay is earlpilanz if you're interested - tell them I sent you! ;)
This is awesome? Did you consider making it a string thru body?
Yeah, for a little while. I don't have a pillar drill though and I think I'd always be annoyed with it if they weren't lined up just right. This was easier!
👏👏👏Great work
please. make an another one for me, i pay you
How did you make the sticker? Thanks
Marks IG post from a few years ago, couple of adjustments in photoshop and trial and error on the printer until it was the right size, fun project!
Great work man!! You just need the Mickey sticker! I have an extra one if you want to put in on your Relic! it looks really good man! what's your Ig?!
Thanks man, that'd be awesome! It's @joelewisrandall
Awesome!!!!! Did you use the jazz bass neck from the jaguar special??
Yep, its honestly my favourite part! Such a great neck
Nice man, I’m doing a similar thing myself. Your vids have given me some solid references! It looks and sounds awesome!
Thanks so much :)
