Watched this scene at age 7, completely unsupervised by an adult. This entire sequence had me in such a trance, made me feel very strange mix of emotions... Fear, sadness, but mainly, sadness. It was so dark and intense I literally started crying. Even watching it now, many years later, this scene still has this haunting feeling that I don't think I will ever forget.

Not even a sad moment just frustrating, I get that she had no reason to trust a man who invaded her home, but idk after her daughter got saved by a mysterious ghost man who gave her his ring, a ring that should’ve been buried on his corpse, you’d think she might have a slightly open mind to the potential that her husband came back from the dead somehow. Especially in the marvel universe where death is a vacation and the afterlife is a tangible place that can be visited, these people hear about a new super hero dying every week and then a month later they’re back on the streets serving justice, have at least a slightly open mind.

It's just sad. This kind of thing still happens, just keeps getting worse and worse and it will never be stopped. When kids say they want to be police when they grow up, pretty sure this is what they mean. Shouting and screaming at civilians, punishing, arresting, and killing anyone they want because they have the power and authority to do it and nothing can stop them. They're being police to uphold the law, they become police to hold their own law. Police are just murderers, in uniforms.

HBO and co knocked it out of the park with this adaptation. I love it's deliberate pacing, subtley and atmosphere... it isn't the tone of McFarlane's comics but it just works really well in it's own way.
