Listen to part 1 here: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/033-been-better-hbu-an-iconic-link-up-with-katie-nehra/id1650233260?i=1000618457356
Today’s episode is a special collaboration between Unhinged Podcast and Been Better… hbu! Off the heels of our conversation in the Unhinged podcast, we continue a captivating conversation with Amrit Sidhu, a podcast host, DJ, and new mother.
Growing up as a South Asian woman in a predominantly white environment in Australia, Amrit unveils the realities she faced and the unique perspective she brings to raising her child in a world still plagued by prejudice. Her experiences of promoting understanding speak to her character, which shines throughout our entire conversation.
In particular, Amrit's passion for helping others shows through her involvement with non-profit organizations such as Better Shelter and Beat The Streets. Operating in both New York and LA, these organizations offer vital resources and support to unhoused communities.
But that's not all- Amrit opens up about her personal journey through postpartum and candidly shares her experience with weaning off breastfeeding and how her hormones took a rollercoaster ride during that period.
And we cannot forget Amrit's deep connection to music. Not only does she create her own music, but she also curates music that speaks to the soul. She discusses why music holds such a special place in her heart and how it transcends cultural boundaries. For Amrit, music is the universal language that unites us all… so should we ask her to curate a Been Better hbu playlist?

Don’t DIY Your Mental Health ft. Host of Home in a Heartbeat's Galey Alix
Really good interviewer, great questions! 👏🏼 Also loved listening to Galey and hope we will see her in a 2nd season of "Home in a heartbeat"!
Aww thats so sad, I feel bad for her because she admits that she will spiral if she looks on IG beyond people who she follows. Social media can be toxic, but spiring from is, I hope she is getting the help she needs. She seems like a nice person.
