I would love to know more about how to make an arrow and a bow comanche style. Length of fetching, width of the bow, etc. Is there anywhere that I can find that information?

Excellent information. Only wish he'd used traditional methods of how they would have been made using tools from 200 yrs ago that the Comanche would have had.

That was real interesting! You know, you see in the Hollywood movies every time there is an attack in the westerns you see arrows sticking everywhere. Man, as much troubles as those things are to make I wouldn’t leave one of them anywhere. I can’t imagine anybody else would either except to do it on purpose to make a point.

Many tribes at one point called the Black Hills home before they were forced off by other stronger tribes such as the Cheyenne, Crow, Arikara, and the last to own it was the Lakota until a bigger military (United States) decided to take it.

To the gentleman that is making those arrows you talked about putting three grooves in the arrow to drain the blood. Well I'm wondering that if you put the groove all the way to the back of the arrow and one of those screws is you knock in the other two is the feathers that if you use the groove to tie the feathers in that groove with the glue it would make it set on the aero smoother. It's just the thought I saw in a suggestion to you sir, if that would not help hold your arrows on the feathered better

And you can make a really good knock size out of the smallest file and the round of it's the same as for sharpening the saw blades teeth on a they work really good for filing a knock in your arrow

there are about ten main language families native to what is now the u.s. with 10-50 languages with their own dialects so like most languages, the people who lived closed together sometimes had dialects on a language continuum and sometimes had completely different languages being spoken around them by people with different migration stories etc but still picked up words from each other. a lot of tribal names recognized by the government are actually just names other natives or the spanish or english would call them. many groups converged and split up europeans have talked about their fascination with the vast linguistics of the americas and their desire to record it all since their arrival but obviously never made this a priority
