In spring, we follow a family living near the beach, where six-week-old kits play under the watchful eyes of their mom and older sister, or "Aunt." While mom guards the den, dad forages for food. Nearby, another fox family hunts meadow voles, with the father defending his territory. The beach fox family later moves to a new den, while a precocious kit from the field foxes snags a chicken dinner from humans, and the Aunt prepares to start her own family.
