AmazonBasics 12-Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder
If you want Fast/ Slide with Stabilty, give Loaded's Coyote a try. i highly recommend it with CX trucks if you like your Omakase.
Out of print
(as of this morning/ 10:30 am) there’s 1 left in stock on amazon uk!.. The Cambridge Centenary Ulysses: The 1922 Text with Essays and Notes amzn.eu/d/1rPvnvl
The trucks are different on these two.?
Just got one of these and I’m new to skating completely. I’ve been playing with a Landyachtz Switchblade 40 which has been a great way to learn the basics but for around the hood it’s cumbersome as it doesn’t turn well. I found the pine Omakase with the orange wheels on sale for 120 bucks off new and got one to try out. Having videos like this is encouraging being as I’m totally new to skating at 38 years old.
Am I losing my mind or is one deck longer than the other? I know they're supposed to be the same but I swear the rosewood deck with the orange wheels looks a good 2 inches longere
Something is wrong with your shredder. Either the brushes inside the motor need replacing or you're pushing the papers down it too hard
Great to hear thoughts from a new rider, enjoyed the commentary. Discovering how things affect ride feel is a lot of fun. *Longer wheelbase adds stability, narrower trucks increase turn & grip (bit less stability).* 🤙🏼👌🏼👌🏼🤙🏼 lower degree (43degree) baseplates/trucks add stability and are great on the rear (split setup) but if you do very fast downhill you should use lower degree front and back. More lean with less turn.
AMAZING INFO. and EXACTLY WHY i posted i literally feel like ‘am i the only one’ (who hasn’t got a clue and wants to get other peoples advice and opinions on the subject) this super clear explanation tells me that i am not and that there are people out there happy to share tips and advice thank You so much 🤗🤗🤗 😆😆😆 🙌🙌🙌 i have a split set-up but 43dgree front 50dgree back 😳😂😂 but only because i could manage to finish changing BOTH and didn’t want to not skate so just left it 😳 🤪🤪 😂😂😂 and have also just learnt to tighten the trucks much much more and using harder spacers but still can’t slide well most likely (definitely) bottle 🍼🍼🍼 terrain 🛣🛣🛣 and speed (below 20 mph as fast as i dared, so far 😱😱😱 and for my ‘skill level’ ZERO 😳😐😐 😂😂😂) i am using 86a orangutans but was wondering about trying another type but also realise that that is (almost a whole) science in itself also when I try to position myself, knee in back of knee and arms behind back I loose all stability and just fly off i have managed a couple of times but become seriously unstable in that point and ride position is there like ways to work towards that position 🤔🤔 anyway moving at ANY SPEED makes me so SO HAPPY 🛹🛹🛹 and makes me feel like i am doing something for fitness i am just of the opinion that as long as i can stand (and in the few short moments i get to indulge) i want to mess around with this type of activity long and short riding the day after i always feel like i’ve been beaten up, even my calfs hurt 😂😂😂 i have time and the inclination and interest, so EVERYTHING is new and interesting i LOVE IT @eBoard3R (finally 😳😂😂) thank You for the commentary comment, Your understanding for my motive for posting is totally appreciated 🤩🤩🤩 🙌🙌🙌 have a great one, (be) well, safe, happy 🥳 😆😆 🙌🙌🙌
@@benuchie We are lucky to live in an age where we can share our thoughts, explore and look stuff up, keep experimenting and keep discussin how the ride feel changes dude!! Yeah bushings affect how you turn so tightening the trucks, changing bushings to different shapes and brands makes a big difference. (Spacer is the thing that sits between bearings of the wheel). I learned a lot from watchin, readin, always happy to share. I enjoy hearin the experiences of others. I look forward to the next video dude.
@@eBoard3R it’s brilliant to speak to You man thank You so much 🤗🤗 i will look at and ‘study’ the new ideas You have given me 🤔🤔 when i get (the few) seconds to do so 😳😐😐 have a good (GREAT) one 🛹🛹🛹 (be) well, safe, happy etc. 🤩🤩🤩 🙌🙌🙌

The site says 33.5 inches for both decks, how does one of yours look longer than the other?
maybe just the camera perspective 🎥🎥🎥 they’re both exactly the same so much so that ONCE i had bought them i thought, damn 🙄🙄🙄 could have just bought ONE DECK and interchanged all other parts 🤔 😂😂 😐😐😐 🙃🙃🙃 live and learn/ glad to have BOTH & others, parts of others too 🤗🤗🤗

ABSOLITELY BRILLIANT 😆😆😆 🤩🤩🤩 🙌🙌🙌 my recent thought is simply that my skateboarding aspirations have changed (from wanting to do mad jumps and fly down hills at 100 miles and hour etc.) to simply (deciding/ realising) THAT AS LONG AS i CAN STAND i want to be messing about with skateboards 🛹🛹🛹 etc ❗️… #obsessedbywheels 🛹⛸🛼🏍🛵🛴🚗🚙🏎🚕🚙🚚🚐 #obsessedbysmallwheels 😆😆😆 🤪🤪🤪 🙃🙃🙃
I'm thinking of getting the blue in heats orangatangs for my omakase, I have the complete grip and rip with the yellow orangatangs in heats. So much difference?
for me it seems the only way to find out is to experiment and discover 🤔 i have no idea what i am doing 🙃🙃 having maybe spending more than i woild have (if i had) but am learning (very, very slowly) and just trying to have fun (fun in general, fun with the subject/ this {for me} interest/ 'hobby') as i have mentioned below (to dl65), my only motive for posting was to allow others to see the boards more clearly than any (many videos) around (at the time i posted) and maybe have people comment and share (on the subject) and as a result learn... i am currently distracted by scooters 🛴🛴🛴 and an andy anderson vert board build (posted by braille army), so (some might think) i am everywhere and nowhere but i am enjoying it and (again) very, very slowly building in confidance and knowledge (thanks to people who have commented below and the olympics etc...) to hopefully find a set-up (or set-ups) that feel(s) good (personally) to me and skate within my abilities... i also fell a couple of times and am fast discovering it takes longer to heal each decade that has passed (now in 5th) 😳 🥸🥸 😂😂😂 hope you enjoy your new wheel choice 🤗🤗🤗 skate 🛹🛹🛹 safe and have loads of fun 🥳🥳🥳 thanks for your comment 🙌 🤩 🙌 b.(en) 🥸🥸🥸 in e.(dinburgh) 🏰🏰🏰

Good man..appreciate this..it is truly a gr8 work of art this good soldier sveik..kudos
I'm thinking of getting one of these, I'm same as you, new longboarder. Great video & review! THE best I've seen regarding real review especially the different truck positions. I'm thinking of going Paris 50° 180mm with 65mm remember lil hoots, I'd mount the trucks outwards. Harder wheels eg 80a - 83a will allow slides easier than softer grippy wheels 76a & 78a. The ride won't be as comfy but easier slides at lower speed. Bushings will help adjust to YOUR size to set it up,and for how cheap it is really 1st place to start. I'm definitely following, can't wait for your thoughts on the new wheels. I want to learn to slide & go down some mellow hills. Nothing to fast just enough to slide. Great video 😊
@DuncanMckay thank you for your kind words 🤗🤗🤗 🙏🙏🙏 honestly i posted these videos ONLY to give as clear and detailed a view of these particular boards 🛹🛹🛹 because of the fact that when i first looked there wasn’t that much on them a year older and i haven’t skated too much because of work and the weather (in scotland) but i am very much hoping to get back to travelling to work on it and continuing to learn to slide (for a long time i was doing it [instinctually but] completely the wrong way 🙄🙄🙄 have a good one and thanks again B. 🥸🥸🥸 p.s. i had someone commenting that i had made bad choices etc. 😳😐😐 i post (and comment) as a TOTAL NEWBIE (however long i’ve been doing ‘it’ 🛹🛹🛹 for) making NO CLAIM at knowing anything etc. posting PURELY for people to GET A GOOD LOOK at a couple of boards 🛹🛹🛹 i really liked and bough 💸💸💸 buying TWO flavours for NO OTHER reason than i liked them 1:01 which i STILL do 🤗🤗🤗 it’s all good. thanks again 🤩🤩🤩 🙌🙌🙌 B.
@@benuchie you also bought 43° trucks, which are a bit more stable at speed for wider boards. I think I'll opt for these.
@@duncanmckay2036 good choice (and) my thoughts also but still not totally sure that the case (43’s being ‘more stable’), so please ask about do more research ([definitely] than i have) 🕵🏻♂️🕵🏻♂️🕵🏻♂️ me i was approaching it in a ‘logical’ (totally un-skate-educated) way but some said (can’t remember who) that the 50° were 😳🤔🤔 my ‘logic’ was closer to the ground, more stable 🤔🤔🤔 but haven’t had chance to do any proper testing also saw a YT mention on running 50° front 43° back set-up so started trying to change trucks (i really do get easily distracted 🤪🤪🤪) and ended up with a 43° front 50° back set-up but through (who cares) and ran with that for a wee while before the weather turned and various distractions distracted 😳😂😂 also now have the orange orangatang knuckle bushings that i have YET to (find the mental space) to sit down and fit 😳😐😐 again my only point being make sure your sure (have a good think about the 50 or the 43 [or get both and you can mix them 🤗🤗🤗) now it is me who can’t wait to see and hear what you end up getting and your impressions when you do p.s. after a fairly ‘hairy’ start i bought and now ride with all the gear, helmet, arm and knee pads and got good slide gloves it took a while to learn to stop so for a while it’s a wee bit precarious better (now) safe than sorry for us oldies 😳😂😂 if not you then definitely me 😳🤣🤣🙃🙃🙃 have a good one once again thank you for your words and best of luck b. 🥸 out 🛹🛹🛹
just to throw this in there, 80a wheels are generally soft/grippy, especially orangatang wheels, which makes them not the best for slides, or at least not as good as 83a-86a. Orangatang wheels specifically only come in 4 durometers 77a(blue), 80a(orange), 83a(purple), 86a(yellow), same colors apply to their bushings too, nipples/knuckles. Also with slides, lip profile and core placement also play a factor, whether the lips are rounded (better for sliding because they grip less) or sharp lips (more grip = harder to slide). Offset core placement usually means more grip because the wheel can squish and form to the ground easier, making it harder to slide whereas centered cores don't do this and offer more even wear to the wheels overall because you can flip them around.
My Boosted electric skateboard is made by Loaded and it's the Vanguard flex 3 board. Very high end product!
It looks like a lot of money spent to solve a speed wobble problem that could be solved with bushing and practice. You’re probably riding with your weight on the backfoot like a lot of newbies do. You bought 43° that are meant for downhill when you already get speed wobble a 20km/h, they are going to give you confidence until you rich a speed you can’t control as you are inexperienced. Wrong idea.
Hi, could i buy one of your boards?
The blue wheeled board is likely to have 'soft rubber, double, barrel bushings in the trucks so you can 'carve' (turn very easily) and the Blue 77a wheels help grip in the turns. The Orange wheeled Board has a longer wheel base making it more stable and orange 80a wheels making them firmer. This board may have firmer rubber, double, barrel bushings in the trucks so you can have more stability. I'm a small low weight rider so I buy orangantang soft (orange) nipples. If your a larger weighter rider a bushing change is very adviceable as Desert Rat said. Its amazing how cheap bushing are and how they can transform you ride when you chose the right firmness for your weight and riding style.
Loaded Boards are addictive I'm 57 and after buying an Icarus and getting use to it quickly I could not resist ordering the Omakase soon after.
@@dystopia2386 I thought they were both just OK for pumping but i prefer 'Carver' for pumping.
Not tried a surfskate but they look good! I also fancy the idea of a surfy board. Nearest i got was a Craver. Surfskate are even more turnable but rides differently so i have heard. I fancied getting a low board for pavements like the G/Bomb @@dystopia2386
You are missing an important component. Bushings. I was a pool boarder for a long time and switched longboarding. Stability also comes from bushings. I ended up using Orangutang Purple Nipples. They are really good and work great on Paris trucks. Wheels are always dependant on what you want to do with them. For commuting the orange and blues that are on the boards are both fine. I am looking to buy this board with the blues and V3 165s. I will change the bushings to purple nipples straight away as they are great pumping bushings. Am 55 by the way and still board so don't worry about age.
I didn’t know they were different shapes. So the redwood has a larger platform and smoother larger softer wheels? That’s a shame I liked the black one’s design more, wish it was more cruiser orientated like the redwood.
@han ; if you visit the website loadedboards.com/products/omakase-deck-only-or-custom-complete there’s a ‘custom build’ option so you can choose any deck and parts you want 🤗🤗🤗 🛹🛹🛹
They’re the same shape actually
@@NotSoWickedElphaba haha (i know) same shape, different ‘flavours’ 🤗🤗🤗 😂😂😂 🙌🙌🙌
Aren't they the same deck different grapgics?
I have a loaded Kanthaka and I love it. That is one sweet board. ☺
Can you compare the riding of both setups? Do you have a favorite? Thanks
@Javier de los Santos ua-cam.com/video/5TzFvkgogVU/v-deo.html
Can you explain the differences on riding both versions? Do you have a favorite?
@Javier de los Santos ua-cam.com/video/5TzFvkgogVU/v-deo.html
Nice looking board(s). Thanks for uploading the videos. I am a similar age and own a Poke with CX trucks and also an Icarus. Now I am thinking of an Omakase. Loaded makes quality boards that each serve a purpose.
If you are getting speed wobbles a few things you can do are 1) put more weight on the front foot, 2) install stiffer bushings and/or 3)adjust the wheelbase of the board. #1 is free and doesn't change how the board rides the rest of the time so it's worth trying first. #2 & #3 will make the board less agile which can be good or bad depending how you want to ride it. You can get a 7 deg wedge riser for the back to convert the 50 deg truck to a 43 deg truck without buying a new set of 43 deg trucks.
Vik Banerjee thank You so much for Your helpful comments 🗣🗣🗣 i am 52 and had a bike accident in my youth so am trying to build up my leg muscles so feel need a stable ride to allow me to get the chance to build up leg strength to then start doing more stuff with footing and leg work etc i’m not sure though and am just trying to work it out as i go along, like each and every ride i am learning something new still don’t know how to stop yet (see leg strength) and looking at slide gloves 🧤🧤🧤 (as we ‘speak’) but so far just been ‘bailing’ which causes problems when going faster than i can actually run 😳😂😂🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️ the front foot i don’t understand because the wobble is happening in front wheels, so should i move forward or back from truck bolts 🤔🤔🤔 and experimenting with wheelbase of the board and that too hasn’t totally solved the problem, also am discovering there are a few variations, which i haven’t got to do all of yet, so far tried two settings the two closes and the two furthest, am not gonna try back furthest and front closest and maybe vice versa if that doesn’t work, or just for curiosity, also not to worried about agility until get stronger, and am really thinking want to kind of have a ‘street longboard’ ‘kind of’ set-up (if such a thing exists), i want to jump up and down things also, have just started to jump off curbs but (so far) no luck getting up them, just crashing to a stop 🙃🙃🙃 also looking at bushings loadedboards.com/collections/bushings but don’t know difference, meaning the Loaded bushing video is (fun but [to me]) so obscure 😳😳😳 i didn’t understand it so just using basic (uninformed) ‘logic’ was thinking it was down to surface area 🤔🤔🤔 the nipples being flat (less ‘turny’/ MORE stable) the knuckles having shape (more ‘turny’/ LESS stable 🤔🤔🤔 but i’m not sure so figure it’s all about experimenting (and spending 😭😭😭) took to the portal 🔮🔮🔮/ UA-cam because i don’t know any people who skate (especially my age) to discuss such details so, once again, many thanks Your time and the great info. 😆😆😆 🙌🙌🙌
@@benuchie - Hi Ben. I'm 51 so I understand the challenges of longboarding at our age. In Orangatung get the yellow nipples. You can use these with cupped washers to make them even stiffer. They are still not super stiff so if you find that you still want the board stiffer try some Riptide bushings. They show you bushings by model of truck and list thew durometer of each one. Typically the speed wobble starts from the back. Moving your weight backwards will just make it worse. If you can find a hill steep enough to get the wobble started, but not much longer and with a safe run out you can practice different technique/set up changes there. I would start practicing your foot braking. Doesn't have to be done very hard, but just learning at slow speeds with mild efforts will build your skills and muscle memory. Riding a longboard with noway to stop aside from jumping off is sketchy and you don't want to get hurt. If you have a local skate shop that deals with longboards it's worth talking to them as they can see you ride and your board and provide better advice. I'm sure Loaded will do what they can to help via email if you don't have a local shop. Have fun!
@Vik Banerjee sorry for the late reply, had a ‘mad’ and tiring week. . what a brilliant article . www.boardfreak.com/why-does-my-longboard-wobble-and-how-to-prevent-speed-wobbles/ . super super useful and funny, that first video of the guy bailing into the grass was like looking in a mirror 😂😂😂 i’m laughing because obviously he wasn’t hurt. . i am watching (‘studying’) lots of videos and read Your shared article and will do so several times more... . it’s great because i have picked up a few important tips and information that confirms that i wasn’t wrong to get the boxes in the hallway with new Paris 43° degree trucks . www.skatehut.co.uk/brands/paris-trucks-co/paris-trucks-co-v3-180mm-43-longboard-trucks-electro.htm . and the yellow orangoutang nipple bushes that you mentioned. . www.skatehut.co.uk/skateboards/bushings/orangatang-nipple-bushings-yellow-hard.htm . i am also experimenting with wheel base variations and my stance. . so feel like the decisions i came (almost) by myself haven’t been totally ‘off mark’, had ordered the trucks before we spoke, was ‘swithering’ about which bushing to get before speaking with You, so to have some validation considering the issues just using ‘logic’ and a wee bit of ‘common sense’ feels good, but this article validates and fills in a lot of blanks so is even better, THANK YOU 🤩🤩🤩 🙌🙌🙌 . in the spirit of transparency (to anyone reading) my current ‘top speeds’ are about 3 miles an hour 😳😐😐😐 🐢🐢🐢 for me (at this stage) it’s not about that now it’s about learning and gaining confidence through physical experience 🤔🤔🤔 . every time i go out i am learning, it’s so great and so much fun, i am under no illusion of achieving this kind of run . ua-cam.com/video/N6IC80LfrNs/v-deo.html . i am also super super happy because i got some slidegloves 🧤🧤🧤 . www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B087G4SYKY/ . so now have an effective way to stop (unavailable to me [as previously mentioned]) other than just bailing into a run 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️ or (more accurately) a fall like the video first mentioned 😂😂😂 😐😐😐 . thank You so much for the info. me have a good and happy Sunday, thanks 🤗🤗🤗 and me i’m off to practice my ‘stance’ and ‘slide stops’ using the gloves 🧤🧤🧤 😳😂😂🙃🙃🙃

Does anyone know who really manufactures the Amazon basics 8 sheet paper shredder? Even Amazon could not find the manufacturer. I have the 8 sheet and if you read the reviews "through" they all end up saying the same thing. The shredder only lasts about 2 years. The gears are teflon (plastic) and wear down so eventually it will not grip and shred. It seems so wasteful to purchase something that is only intended for two years when you could simply replace the gear or make the gear out of metal. Thanks
What no CD to shred? xD
Cause it’s CHEAP
