It is one of the first weapons to incorporate a telescoping bolt design, which allows the magazine to be housed in the pistol grip for a shorter weapon. The Uzi carbine has two main vari...

    I know the pistol is old but it’s the same design I have by Tisas and it shoots the same round and uses the same magazines that cost me $500 dollars. Age in of itself makes anything valuable to the owner. If I had that pistol I would shoot it because that’s what it was made to do. My Tisas 1911 looks just like it and shoot everything I shoot in it.

    I have some swords my Grandpa gave to me that he got in WW2, told me how he got them he was allowed to select a few and the rest were pushed over the deck of ships into the sea. But I'm having a hard time finding someone that can tell me about them. One of them I was able to get help on the internet on it and it has the name Tanaka Shinsaku writen on the scabbard

    Respectfully, the advice at 09:26 is terrible. The only difference between the first and second iteration of the trigger assembly is the contour of the hammer, which doesn't even have a serial number. You could simply buy a spare hammer from the Danish or Swedish contract WITHOUT the half cock notch (a ~30$ part), thus reverse the upgrade and sell the gun at a premium for being a "rare" specimen that skipped the refurbishment process. In fact, there are a lot more -1s without half cock notch floating around than what would be reasonably possible. Here's my advice: 1) Check the serial number 2) Check the markings for any sign of refurbishment 3) Unscrew the grip panels and check the back of the frame for wear. The screw that contains the hammer spring scratches on the frame every time you cock the hammer and thus gives you a 100% trustworthy assessment of how often the gun was fired. 4) Don't pay any premium for an absent half cock notch. Your gun isn't any less genuine if it happens to have the upgraded hammer.

    Beautiful pistols! Where does the "1000 Meter Hi-Power" described in Blake Stevens' book fit into this lineup? I know it was a very early version of the pistol, but I don't remember if it was a Belgian Army Trial Pistol or an early production example.

    Got a Red 9 without much bluing left back in the 90s. All serial numbers match and it shoots. Not much rifling and the gun's miserable ergonomics means it's mostly for the bang factor but I love the fact that it was imported over a century ago now and still runs. Think I paid $600 for it in about 1995? My treasure.

    Harrington and Richardson maintained production of a set of firearm designs should go back to the late 1800s and they did it with a certain amount of hand quality that you’ll never find anymore. The bling on some of their guns is just outstanding. However, with their revolvers, they did not do the kind of product development that made for an accurate shooting Performance They made these guns to a price point and they were able to manufacture these to a low price point for affordability for a very long time over several generations. That many ways is quality delivery. But I’ve heard people say they are rugged, but they’re not well built. They were designed flaws over period of time. One of them is the lack of development in the forcing cone I owned a Harrington and Richardson’s model 999 sportsman, which is a nine shot break up at revolver and it was horribly accurate. It would’ve been better off being a six shot revolver instead of a none shot Revolver, and they could’ve gotten better alignment with the cylinder and the forcing cone from a shot to shot I think a break action 22 revolver is an excellent idea of being that low pressure the last long time and I wish it would bring it back, but they’d never be able to bring back that last years Bluey anymore. There are too many EPA regulations and OSHA regulations In check, you almost have to go to a country like turkey to reproduce these I hear that dies and mold were sold in 1986 when Harrington and richard closed down and the recipient of these dives and moles New England firearms refused to make the revolvers I would like to hear from the people they made that decision

    • @michaelchen8643
      @michaelchen8643 2 місяці тому

      Yes, they came out with an award-winning functional single shot target pistol Why didn’t they keep on making it throughout the years? They could’ve made a few hundred a year and kept this going since they had a very serviceable design.🧐
