@@Gonz209 yes it’s still sputtering and check engine light still on. I had cylinder 6 misfire, and plenum gasket codes. I’m currently pricing a 5.7 swap or custom built 3.6 at this point. I might pop the valve cover and check the rockers on 2,4,6 side

Check the mass sensor and the evap system

Exhaust leak or air intake or dirty ass pcv valve or also air filter something is clogged even maybe

I would start with that, as you could see in my video the spark plug boot for one of my spark plugs was the issue, if you have the same issue as I had you should have a check engine light for misfire, and will find a small burn hole where spark is going to the engine block. @@Gonz209 thanks bro. No bullshit literally after watching your video my check engine light came on. Went to get all the parts and tomorrow i’m doing the job.

Put the OBD2 reader on it and see what code you get, you never know it could be something different, go off of your check engine code. If it's a misfire on a cylinder it will tell you, focus on that cylinder for a bad spark plug, bad coil, or bad rubber boot.

It's a bit of a job, you need to remove the top half of the intake manifold, you should find videos on here on how to open it all up.

Yeah I had a check engine light with a misfire code on that cylinder. What ended up fixing your issue?

Did you replace the coil boots also? Focus on the piston it's misfiring on.

Might want to do a compressions test, if you have a low one you will get a miss fire

@@lawrencewoods7215 mine was the first one on the right. The order is 135 on the left and 246 on the right FOR MINE. Just google your yr and model and I’m sure a pic will pop up to be sure

Definitely cylinder 2 lol . I have another code ( P0206 ) saying it’s an open injector !!

What year is your charger and what is the engine size?

I picked up coil that comes with new boot at local Auto parts store it was close to $40 what i paid for it. That's if you have the same issue as i did! With spark escaping to ground out the side of rubber boot, good luck. Let me know what you find.

Are you getting check engine light, any OBD2 codes? Sounds like for what it's doing you should be getting error codes?

It was the one the OBD2 scanner told me it was when test running. If i recall i took the coil that was triggering bad, and put it in piston with easier access in case I needed to replace, as you know there are some coils harder to access under the intake.

Did it end up being the coils?

Did the coil pack fix it? Did you find hot spot on rubber boot part?

@@Gonz209 it was the coils so i ended up just changing them all. I didnt find any wear, it seems that one just stopped working properly.

@@txknightrider82 jerking, hesitation, loss of power around 2k rpms for me in my 2015 rt. Tried to pass someone and my car bogged down super bad. I almost parked it on the side of the road in a WTF moment.

So its ticking but no check engine light, driving like a grandma until I save enough to fix it

Your comment is spot on, once I jumped on the highway and hit anything past 40mph my dodge charger would start vibrating like crazy and the check engine light would go from solid to blinking immediately.

@@pantae2946 I haven't gone to dealer to get it checked/fixed yet I have a service appointment to the Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealer on Monday August 2 and I'll find out exactly what's wrong with it on that day.

I gotta 2019 challenger currently doing this it shakes after 60 I got a tune up same problem what else could it be

i know this is a late response but yes, my 2008 dodge charger v6 with 165k miles has this problem. my engine light is on and it detected a misfire in cylinder 4. it has been rough idling and it rattles a lot on a cold start. it also jerks when i go to accelerate. hopefully getting a brand new coil pack and new spark plugs fixes the issue. this is my first car and i just got it 2 weeks ago, and i’m 17 years old

@@extroxfps I have the same issue with my 2011 charger, if the RPM needle is bouncing a lot & the car feels like it’s shaking on a cold start most likely it’s the fuel injector in your cylinder 4

Well if you are capable of getting into removing spark plug coils and spark plugs so you can inspect them you might find the problem and save some money. The coil cost me less than $40, since you are messing with spark plugs might as well replace them too, specially if you have high mileage, good luck! Let me know what fixed it.

You can also just clear the code and see if it happens again? Not sure if you already tried that?

@@Gonz209 crazy thing is my car is a 2019 under 60,000 miles still under power train warranty but the dealership says that’s not covered under the warranty so they want me to pay for a tune up and if that doesn’t work pay for a coil around 500$

@@jefferyd4116 WOW! 2019 Charger 3.6 engine? Yeah these warranties are tricky. I was surprised my charger 2016 OEM coil boot went bad on mine at only 3 years old

@@Gonz209 Yeap 2019 Dodge Charger gt 56,000 miles just start acting up on me this morning on the way to work I can change the spark plugs and coil but whatever that is under the motor cover looks pretty difficult to take off to get to cylinder 6

Replace your throttle body the sensors are going bad

Just clean your throttle body

Good luck, yeah mine was getting P0302 which is like you say cylinder #2, then I moved that coil and boot to cylinder #5, ran car for a day and faulted on PO305, telling me that coil and boot were the problem, removed coil and boot and found the small spark burn on boot, replaced that coil and boot with new one and that fixed my issue. My car has been good since I did this video. But misfire faults can also be bigger issues, low compression, bad injectors, manifold air leaks, and so on. I lucked out with it being something simple.

Is it shaking while in idle, or just idling? Might want to do a compression test on all cylinders and see how #4 compares to the rest, there are actual cylinder pressure they should be but I can remember what is a good compression, good luck, let me know what fixed it, to stay learning.

I have the same issue. I changed the coils and spark plugs and still has a cylinder 2 misfire. I went to the dealership and they ran a diagnostic test and said it has a collapsed lifter. They want me to change all lifters and camshaft.. 4500

Are you also getting misfire code on a certain cylinder? If so check spark plug and spark plug boot, and coil.

Gonzalo Herrera no check engine light, gears are good just sometimes when I gas it it hesitates and jerk not all the times

Not sure, transmission? I'm surprised you don't have a check engine light on? Check to see if you have pending check engine lights on a newer OBD2 code reader

Gonzalo Herrera I don’t believe it’s the transmission car turns on No problems, no rattling noise, smooth drive no power loss just a sudden jerk. I was thinking it can be gunk in my throttle body or the air filter. I’ll check the spark plugs tomorrow.

I ended up buying a new coil that came with a new coil rubber boot. If you having same issue you can try just the rubber boot. Cause that's where the spark was escaping to ground

Gonzalo Herrera I have a 2012 and it’s misfiring on 6 Iva changed the plug and the coil but it’s still happing

@@johnnycasto45 sorry for late response, if doing this didn't do it then maybe you have low compression on that piston? Maybe fuel injector? I've also read it could be as bad as a whole engine head job? Let me know what fixed it
