Aerosmith Fastening specializes in pneumatic tools and fasteners for cold formed steel and concrete construction. What material is being used behind the butt joints?

It may look good . For a little bit but I don't agree with shooting nails into the blocks. Nothing more than my opinion
I don't think so too, most of people use wood ribbons and I don't know what would be the difference with the method applied in this video
How about installing shigles on top of OSB with LGS bellow that??
That siding will fail no WRB and all those nails blowout the back of the fiber cement siding causing loose leaky siding

I have a garage I want to do this on. it is a 2 car garage, the plan it to raise the roof new trusses and put cement board lap siding. It a vacation house, we just did out personal home built on to the garage with a shop then sided the house and all with cement board, tunred out nice I used the gecko siding hangers, so easy.. but wondering how to secure cement board to the block on the garage, would it be also good to add liquid nails?

I can't stand this product . I've cut thousands of linear feet of this crap , you talk about dust !! It breaks easy and delaminates if moisture penetrates it , Junk !!!!!

Applying Fiber Cement, per most manufacturer specification, require a 0.145' diameter pin. Standard coil tools either cannot drive that size of pin, drive it well or hold up to severe conditions of driving into concrete. The Aerosmith SurePin tools or the High Pressure system have proven to be the most reliable, best performing and most durable method.

Yes you can install directly to block. Millions of Aerosmith pins have been driven to apply Fiber Cement to CMU and concrete. What guns use for sidding?
Best practices and what they do on youtube are not the same. Best practices is a lathe rain screen AND water sealing. A little extra protection to prevent headaches. The video is being done to sell product not make quality structures.
