I love the fact you are considering this through scripture. However, I do firmly disagree regarding the contextual application. Definitely put other first; I love that you support ACTION - doing something positive; and I don't mean to support anyone's angry responses; however, while, yes, we lay our rights down before God, these days it seems every Christian is taking this message the wrong way. Rights exist because some things are right; without this fact, there is no righteousness. The new Testament might not talk directly about rights, but every action encouraged and taught is helpful to bring others into a right standing with God. We are to seek justice and defend our brothers in need. If we believe they have no rights, then there is no longer any justice to seek, since no wrong has been done. Now we have to throw out just about EVERY action of God in the Bible - since it’s ALL for justice - making things "right." Yes, WE are to do as He does, and that doesn't just mean submitting to gov't when God says to, but it includes acting for justice by making things right for others. Proper application is selflessness, putting God first, and giving him control of things. There is no REMOVAL of rights from Christian man. They are simply laid before his feet, and he makes us his stewards, teaching us proper application - which always involves putting others first. God’s heart is being missed these days. Please prayerfully consider whether your message can be used to cause a misunderstanding of our need to act in defense of other Christians. Inaction for the defense of Christians may ultimately lead to people being placed with the goats at judgment ;( “In as much as you did it (or did not do it) for the least of these my brethren….” - it wasn't just about being nice to Christians, but about acting in righteousness: loosing the bonds of injustice, seeking and maintaining what is right. If I am wrong, and we are not to care for our children's well being, but allow our families to be so physically invaded and our temples (of the Holy Spirit) damaged without care, and to contribute to the mutation and spread of the Covid virus (yes, this IS what the vaccination facilitates) (because you don't have symptoms, but still carry the virus, you spread it; while the sick would stay home until it's dead, like we always did with every cold or flu we ever had), then please, be careful how you consider your brothers who do not vaccinate. The common finding I see is that they are seen as bringing their own troubles on their own head (though the opposite is true), and then the vaccinated Christian population are not willing to ACT according to Matt 25, in support of their Christian brothers, and risk their own salvation, being counted with the goats. To be clear, I think you're awesome. I hear your perspective from many wonderful Christian teachers and my closest friends. However, I do think it extremely dangerous to our faith, taking this road away from justice - doing right. Perhaps the simple line is here: Defend others, but not ourselves (this is how I was brought up and how I raise my children). We lay our rights at the feet of Christ, but the moment we lay someone else's there, we've crossed it into dangerous grounds, and left the heart of God. A habit of that and we risk being counted as goats.
