Batteries Make Them Last
Переглядів 2394 роки тому
If you don't use a vehicle very much or it's an RV that sits, your batteries will deteriorate much faster than a vehicle in constant use. A simple battery tender plugged in when not in use can help extend the life of your batteries, and you will always come back to the vehicle that is ready to start. Battery tenders are available for varying prices at any auto supply or big box store.

I wish in Australia we'd have easy access to parts like you do in US. In some cases we do but they'd cost us an arm and a leg. In other cases, some DIYers do shonky adaptations, but in most cases we buy new appliances. Either way we're skinned together with our wallets.

I would not recommend the 3100RI generator. Unless you want to throw your money away. I currently own a 3100Ri generator and the manufacturer has stopped making this part --> (PH3100Ri Rotor Assy # 69306) which means if your rotor assembly fails for what ever reason there is no way to repair it.

Wow, great video! No intro fluff to fast-forward past. Just spent $7,300 on a new rear end for my 1990 Cummins, and now the alternator is making noise! Just happened to already have a backup spare alternator. Was initially nervous about the belt, but with this and other videos, it seems easy to slip off.

I tried this with a similar style Keter clamp, and unfortunately the clamp mechanism does not allow the bar to slide back into the squeeze-handle slot. They must use a special jig in the factory to push the internal pawl back out of the way so that the bar can slide completely through. Great idea, but be careful if you value your clamps. Mine is now toast.

Thanks for a great video. We just put a chain around the battery with a heavy duty padlock. Bottom line is.....The padlock is the weakest point of either one of these battery hold down methods. The thief just has to break the padlock and the battery can be removed.

When I was a child, I was taught to coil sailboat lines this way. However, as an adult who’s been using these hands in a trade for 40 yrs , I find it too difficult to twist heavy duty extension cords this way, but I still use this method for lightweight ropes and lines.

Great idea with the Eye Bolts and straps to the top of the bike rack. It will greatly reduce dynamic loading and metal fatigue on the bumper when the trailer travels over bumps or dips in the road surface. I imagine shocks on the trailer will also help.

Is there a way to incorporate PIP during multicam designer edit? In other words switch to a shot where cam 1 and cam 2 are alongside each other - or 3 boxes on a screen at once, then switch back to a single camera - all in real time while using the multi-camera designer?

Hello Ray, Not sure if you're an expert on these models or not, but I have a question. Just watched your video on repairing your Dimplex. I have similar model (DFG2562). It may be a couple years older because mine doesn't have the digital temp display like yours. Anyway, I can no longer see the dancing flame or the flicker light through the glass stones, unless the room is completely dark. Even then the light is very, very dim. When I removed all the stones, you can clearly see through the translucent plastic cover that the rotisserie is turning, and the LED light bar is on, although nowhere near as bright as yours was on the video. Do LED lights get dim over time? I didn't think they did. I thought they either worked (shined brightly), or didn't work at all. Any ideas, opinions?

I found with the little Black and Decker unit I bought, that adjusting the Finish-Jet Dry is at the lowest setting which is 1, the dishes are spotless. Less chemical residue on the dishes, and you save money.

All of y9our examples will result in loops and kinks in the ropes, extension cords and hoses. Anyone that tries your technique should hold on to the last and and throw the rest out in front of them and you will see the loops and kinks.

Hi Ray, I just wanted to thank you for this great video. I have the same car as you but with the smaller engine and my alarm started to go off randomly. Every time I went to the car, I saw that the boot light was on for some strange reason. I watched loads of videos but your video diagnosed my problem. These washer tabs on the boot/trunk lid were telling my car that the boot was opened even after I locked and alarmed the car and this was the cause of my alarm going off randomly. I was then driving and suddenly the boot light began to go on and off on my dash and so your video sprang to mind. I've tightened the washer after watching your video as they become lose over time and few people will know of this problem and how it trips the alarm and looks like an electrical issue. Everybody thought it was the sensors or the electric loom through the trunk/boor lid but I believe that you have identified a major issue for many people that often goes undiagnosed to great expense and frustration to the owners. Thank you for your video. You have saved me and many other people a lot of time and money with this fix. Time will tell but not enough of us owners understand that these washers can trip the car alarm when they become loose and give false trunk/ boot open warnings on our car dashboards..🙏🏾🙌🏾👍🏾

You got the wrong stepper motor for the reflector drive. Notice that it reverses every second time the unit powers up. Sometimes the flames appear to go up as they should, other times the appear to to go down
