Looks like they only did one Mangini era song and Portnoy didn't have the decency to play it somewhat like Mangini. He was just all over the place with it. I like Dream Theater. I've listened to them since the beginning, but what they did was fucked up. When Mangini first came on, he tried to play all Portnoy parts as close as possible out of respect. As time went on, he put his own spin on them, but still stayed as true to the original work as possible. I'm glad, Mangini left. His skills were deteriorating for a decade. He's cut from a different cloth. A whole 'nother calibur. When they were auditioning drummers, I'm glad that Marco Minnemann didn't go with them. He would've pissed away his talent. Dream Theater is a top group of musicians, but for a specific genre. Guys like Mangini and Minnemann are meant for greater things... and they need to replace LaBrie. He's fried.

God bless South American DT fans. LaBrie, have some grace and dignity and step aside.

If Mike Mangini was still the drummer..I would love to see Dream Theatre Mike Portnoy’s a good drummer but he’s not as good as Mike Mangini… Mike Mangini is one of the few drummers that believes a drum kit besides keeping the beat…IS A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT… and should be played like one… Mike Mangini uses SIX bass drums… I can only dream about what it would be like to be one of his students at UC Berkeley..very very cool and a lot of fun..peace
