Hi brother, I have a Hofner and want to buy these LaBella beatle flatwound light, but I'm worried because I use the bass half step down. Do you think the light gauge works well with Eb standard, or it's better to pick the standard gauge? Thanks

Stretch the strings too. Just pull/tug them lightly along the fretboard, tune and do it again. If (its your first time changing strings) and you struggle getting the E in tune leave the bass a few hours or overnight. Give another little stretch and retune again. Andy you should do more shows like this. Was spot on man 😎

That is a beautiful jb. Andy, are the necks on the 70s jb slightly slimmer in width to the 60s jbs? And do you prefer 60s or 70s pup spacing, does it make much difference in tone etc in your opinion?

Tonally not much difference but the 760FHB2 seem to be a little brighter and less prone to distorting, especially on the open E string.

WOW!!!!!!! You definitely brought the tone out!!!!!! One of the Best sounding basses of all time. The 1977 Fender Jazz. Haven't been a tone like it SINCE!!!!!!!

Great basses! Bought one new for $2600.00 in 1987 with a cocobolo top, and it was absolutely stunning. Played it professionally for 16 years before I sold it. That was a bass I regret selling. 😢

I got one in the early '80s. It is my first bass. Later on I bought and sold several others, but I never sold this one. Out of nostalgia. I am so glad I still got it. It's such a fine instrument. The way it plays and sounds is just great!

I have the Sting model (since they came out on the market). I've had dozens of basses since then and the Sting is the one I never got rid of. I changed the PG to black and now I don't have one on at all. After all the Gibsons, Danelectros and Stingray, it's back to being my #1. My initial impression was "light, bright and fun to play". I don't play with a bright tone but this bass delivers my old school tone.

The 2 strap buttons are to allow it to stand up/be leaned against an amp without needing a stand. It’s NOT for adjustable strap length or whatever.
