When Ed first played this song for Sammy in the studio he asked Sam what he thought of it. His response was "I liked it better when Kool and the Gang did it". Ed didn't realize how similar the two sings were.

I was looking fwd to seeing these guys but it sounded like the sound engineer was trying to put more into the system than it was made to take. very dirty distorted and just loud noise, sorry to say. I love Loud music when I can Hear the Guitars, Drums and keyboards and understand the vocals. thank God I new the words or I would have been lost. My wife and I had all we could take and left early. I followed Deep Purple from the 70s I like their music I couldn't tell you what the new music was I couldn't hear or understand it. our view it was a waste of money and YES was even Worse! I can't believe they didn't catch this in their sound check very sad.

Saw them back in the early 70s. The bass moved you, literally moved you physically. The air that bass pumped. Unbelievable. Of course between DP and Leslie West my hearing never recovered. Thanks for posting.this

I think it's just the sound systems. Saw her at Dayton last year and she didn't sound good. Saw her outside at Martinsville Indiana last week and she was absolutely amazing best i've heard her. She is the Goat and always will be.

EVERYTHING he does he copied from someone else. When he first gained fame he used to say " I started with this riff from so and so, then went to this run from somebody followed by run by somebody else." Look at him...Stevie Ray hat...more copying. Not to mention the facial contortions or mouth hanging open. Just mimic others.....nothing original at all. No feeling...just mimic. Terrible Voodoo Chile....especially the end
