For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. All our righteousness is as filthy rags before God. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus has always existed and was never a created being. He had a physical birth two thousand years ago of a Virgin and of the Holy Spirit, thereby He did not inherit the sin nature of Adam. His name means Jehovah saviour or Yahweh saves. In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus lived a perfectly sinless life, was crucified, shed His innocent blood, physically died, was buried, and physically rose again from the dead. Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of *eternal life* to all who trust Him alone for salvation. Jesus paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation. Salvation is absolutely free, instant, and eternal, received solely by trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone, and is certainly not conditional upon service to God. Service (discipleship) if you choose it can cost you everything if you go all out in serving God. Our good works, repenting of sins, and obedience, are for temporal fellowship with God here on earth and for rewards in Heaven or a lack thereof and have absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all. The only reason anyone will ever be in Heaven is solely by the perfect life, shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ alone. Anything added or subtracted from this is another gospel.

Yes John 3:16 is beautiful. But it's the beginning, of our assurance, because in James 2:19 it says You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble! Don't read a verse without the full context that God has written it in... Hebrews 11: 6 clearly says, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. Don't hang the lost, dry...belief takes us to faith, faith without works is dead... There are sinners running around saying I believe....but we have to seek God beyond belief.... God bless you....pray about it....

Lol how do you know, did someone return to tell you? Why when people pass away they always say the see their family members who have passed no one ever says they see Jesus. How about the New testament was written by a person who prior to writing the Bible wrote a book about demons. Well it makes sense because the god of the Bible is the devil, which is why in the old testament your god calls for the enslavement of children!
