I think people keep calling it a town bc the only videos I’ve ever seen on UA-cam are of the run-down/hood/ghetto areas. Petersburg is a city of almost 34,000 people….

I would expect this to last between 5 and 10 years, then fixing it will be astronomical due to the extra clean up. That is not restoration that is a cheap temporary fix.

I've built and installed tin and copper standing seam roofs over the past 20 years, that being said i appreciate a young man to take on a project like these your featuring on the channel. While some over think things sometimes you just have to do it and move forward and learn from mistakes.

Man your talking just about old town. Man ain’t nothing being restored. Your talk about a very very small area. It’s not va best kept secret. Right there in old town is far as you need to go. That’s only decent area.. outside of old town, you can f*** around if you want to. And not to mention, who and the hell had and idea to put a Casino in Petersburg…. Think about that for a min…. Basically don’t lie and say there’s opportunities for growth; business etc. No. that’s been said since in came around to the surrounding counties in 1998. Ain’t nothing changed. That city hasn’t grown past Old Town since I’ve been here.

Tar on sheet metal is a huge mistake, tar will dry out and crack holding moisture and will rot away your sheet metal in the next 10 yrs ,you could have cleaned the metal and applied a silicone coating which would last 20 yrs,I have been roofing for years and learned the hard way on coating a metal low sloped roof 30 yrs ago and been doing roofing longer then that.
