@@baskah ahh that’s too bad. I just got a Plurichorus which uses those same chips, no ticking on mine.

The ticking is even worse with the real thing - that’s the nature of the circuit. The original uses SAD1024 BBDs, the Dandy Horse is designed for 3007/3207s in place of the originals.

@@Lovetone1983 A little calibration fine tune will sort that out. It was just a quick comparison , a little rushed maybe. However I would never claim that the clone is better in any way to an original. It gets you extremely close though. But thanks for the comment, appreciate for watching.

This is probably the closest it could sound to an original, considering it doesn't have Reticon chips and it's a 9v version of the original circuit. It's very impressive, all things considered. It costs a fraction of what an original Polychorus would cost you, so I'd think expecting perfection would be unfair.

I've never read a description of the band like yours here 😊 Dino Jr has its origins in the punk and hardcore music scene of the time. Their sound is a part of the larger movement of underground music that was emerging through college radio and gradually gained airplay on mainstream radio stations. They're partially known for being indescribably loud. That could explain how they got your attention

try turning it up louder until it makes sense :-)

What bands did you like in the '90s? I'm guessing Sound Garden/Pearl Jam/Alice in Chains? Yeah, you wouldn't get Dinosaur. I was a Sonic Youth/Dinosaur Jr/Husker Du/Replacements kinda kid. There was a divide between kids like me and kids like you. I'm guessing today you exclusively listen to Dave Grohl's new band, forget the name. I guess essentially what I liked was art/punk music, you liked "grunge" or whatever the marketing said. I guess kids I knew then who had money got into Guided by Voices from stuff like Dinosaur too I never did, I was getting into Japanese popular music by then, borrowing it from Japanese friends and renting it from Japanese convenience stores and dubbing it for basically free. Now it's too hard to get into GBV - there's too much. I randomly picked up Dinosaur Jr Beyond in 2007 and they still had it. Still a fan.

That's impressive considering it was released in late 1994!
