Trump 2O24 build in brick! TRUMP BUILT ALL UNION JOBS IN NEW YORK CIRY! Joe Biden robbed Americans
Amazing facility and staff. I had the pleasure of attending in april 2018. Looking back, I wish I would've utilized more of the assets that were available while I was there. I learned to lay to the line proficiently, but I should've spent more time dialing in some other techniques. The housing / meal program they have is second to none aswell.

Gonna be joining local 600 soon I’m 19, someone told me to re consider because all I’ll be doing is carrying 90lbs bags of concrete and cinder black for about 4 hours a day because I’m going to be green, is this true? Someone let me know I’ll be really bummed out
you will more than likely be laboring for a while until you start to get the hang and improve on things.
You’re young don’t worry about it
Worst move I ever made joining this "union." Terrible. $50/hr=$50k/ yr. They blamed covid the last 2 years but what about my previous 10 as a member living under the poverty line?
Is 32 too old to pursue this career?
if your in shape do it there are people that start older. do it man
The other side not depicted here that Bricklayers and Allied Crafts unions cover is Refractory. You can find signatory refractory contractors on BAC websites. We work in refining, power, steel, cement and food processing. We are a bit of an insulated industry from economic turmoil. Lots of overtime available as well.
I've been working 13 years in construction, I need this to perfect a craft to be able to sustain a suitable lifestyle.
Masonry is the greatest trade ever. Screw carpentry
So cool... oh how I wish there was an institution like this here in my country!
This beautiful
Yeah I work for the Masons building Catholic churches basically wearing the brick so a little masonry work and I know it's nothing too big mostly red
Definitely sharing this video with the young people I work with. As a career choice, there are so many benefits to a union career. My dad was IBEW❤️
Brothers in arms JW # 21-52
This is my dream. Its hard to get into the union. But its definitely worth it. All I can do is apply and pray. That always works.
Howdey, my name is Nia Lovell. I'm very very interested in becoming a Local 1 bricklayer and driven to expand in the industry. I'm attending IMI webinars, OSHA 10 and finishing up with my pre-apprenticeship with NEW. Where can I get more info about training?
Hi there! Love your dedication. It sounds like you're based in Maryland. Please reach out to Local 1 MD/DC/VA to let them know about the training you're doing and your interest in apprenticeship: www.baclocal1.org/training/. And if you need anything else, you can reach us here: imtef.org/contact-2/. Thanks so much for your interest in a career with us!
@@internationalmasonryinstit6732 Thank you for responding and apologies. I am based in NYC.

Hi Omar, thank you for the kind words, and thanks to your dad for his dedication to the industry. Feel free to reach out to us if we can help: imtef.org/contact-2/
so pleased to hear from your organisation, i have contacted the organisation through the link you sent . once again thank you so much
Love your level of professionalism respect from a child of man that has 43 years of tile laying just proud of your efforts and level of smiles you putting to the students
I've tried reaching out to the union after reading about it from a book written in 1880s about tile setting and now just watching the video is making me hungrier
Do you need any type of degree to start an apprenticeship Here ?? I’m interested in applying
No you don’t I went to it
No you don't, I graduated they're pre apprentice program last year and have been an apprentice since. I graduated high school but did not go to college, but I don't even think you'd need a highschool diploma. However you do need a decent understanding of math and fractions.
Super👍👍👍👍👍
Good video.
