As a sleep consultant, I empower tired parents to teach their babies and toddlers to sleep and parent confidently day and night.
A good night's sleep is reflected by a good day's sleep. Important factors in the daytime are: getting enough naps in so baby isn't overtired by nighttime, and getting enough calories in so baby isn't hungry through the night.
There's two main reasons babies and toddlers struggle with sleep.

Hello, not trying to be argumentative, however there is a lot of literature showing that suppressing the Moro reflex negatively affects a babies motor development amongst other things. I feel this is important to review prior to promoting this predominantly western practice, or to also demonstrate the possible adverse effects. Thank you for your video nonetheless.
Would this technique work for a 2 year old. We cosleep and nurse to sleep for naps and night time but I’m about done!
Thank you so much
MY SON HAD IT, IT WENT AWAY, DO NOT OPERATE OR LISTEN TO THIS ADVICE.
Babies (below one year) cry for one of 3 reasons, change nappy, hurt/discomfort or hungry... To neglect this IS abuse in a form.
Was gonna ask the same as pp. what if baby falls asleep at the breast? We do the same thing in the same order every night and he always gets fed last so that he’s nice and full but 99% of the time he falls asleep at the breast.
No No No...
Bull twinkies
How to end the night wake up feedings so we can increase feeding of day time
No solution just buy the program
Thank youuuu!😭
Last year, I suffered from terrible bad breath, I used everything possible to clean my mouth like toothpaste 4 times a day, different mouthwashes but still I continued. until I found Dr. Emovon on UA-cam who helped me get rid of my bad breath completely with his herbal medication that I got from him..🌺🌺🌺🌺👋👋👋
Thanks! I will try this ❤
What’s considered full feeding? For breastfeeding?
Generally one side completely and about 1/2 the other side.
my baby after feed feels like as if something is bothering him in throat, alot especially during nights, he would gagle become uncomfortable etc i am specially concern about the throat thing it feels like if that thing is interrupting breathing. pls reply
He is in his 8th week he was born at 35th week of pregnancy.
@@PsychologyJunction101 You should seek help from a lactation consultant, your pediatrician or an occupational therapist who specializes in feeding to get a proper evaluation.
My 8 months old has been sleeping horribly, even worse than usual. She however learned how to crawl, stand up and walk around furniture, wave HI, blow a kiss, clap, and had a tooth come through all in like the past three weeks…. 😵💫
Same as my 8month boy..he's walking wity support.leart clapping. Waving..talking soo much😂 but sleep is suffering
Any advice???!
Thank you ❤
What about those less than 4 months. Why do they wake up frequently ? Thank you
Let me offer one possible solution since this video does offer any. Put your child to bed, and stand over your child for at least a half an hour, just to be sure. Do this multiple times until it finally takes. My daughter has been fighting sleep for nearly a week and I’m at the end of my tether.
My 2 month old is out down around 8-9pm and is awake all night. He’s up every 2-3 hours to feed. Is this normal? How can I get him to feed longer? He grunts all night after his first awake window which is 3 and a half hours. Sometimes he wakes up after an hour and 30 and won’t even make it the 2 hour stretch. Please help!
It's very difficult to say with such little information but have you read the book? Days and nights are very tied together at this age. Great sleep at this age is holistic - getting enough food in the daytime and timing. Then watch the video about "babies only sleeping in arms" and you might get more info from that one too - but the book on Amazon is agreat place to start. a.co/d/bJMtusj
What do you do when you're trying to wean them off nighttime feeds? My little one always falls asleep at the breast then....
So what is the solution?
hi maa'm , my baby is 14 months old . 1. can i give water instead of milk at night time? 2. if so should i use sippy or straw cup at night time? 3. should i make her sit , when giving water at night time ?
She likely will reject water because the sleep association is with milk and nursing. Its' the action of sucking and taste that she uses to self soothe.
Your awesome thank you.
I had that for 2 years, nursing him every 2 hours. It knocked the wind out of my sails and i was a single mum😮. I've never really recovered and over time I've developed chronic insomnia
How to make the child fall asleep on their own??
My baby never sleeps in her car seat but she is overtired because her sleep is terrible 😢
Thank you 😊
My little girl is suffering from bad gastric reflux and colic too. 😢 she is 2 months turning 3 soon. Hence the contact napping. At night we dont have problem tho., i put her to sleep then she’s fine on the bed as long as i am near. Hope i can wean her from contact napping too.
Yeah mine is 3months 3daysold
Thank you for the tips, we are going to try them tonight for our 3yr old.
So just accept life sucks and it won't last forever.... lovely.
Please suggest how to cuddle baby to sleep
What about when baby is still swaddled with their arms in? Sleepsacks would not be suitable and SIDS Australia dont like sacks without arm holes!
😊
My baby didn’t sleep whole night and crying and whimpering 😢
I have a toddler &a 6 month old, my little baby fully taught her self one day she was in her Porta crib and threw her little legs in the air and was on the tummy. Everyday after that she was golden
Hi doctor, I am from india,i red book "helping babies sleep method",my boy is 13 month old, i am sleeping teaching him asper your guidance in book, using controlled checkin, can i co sleep after sleep training, after 1 month or more, or when to start co sleep again, who is best for co sleep me or my husband,pl reply doctor, thank you in advance
My 3 month old sleeps 30 minutes at a time at night. He goes to sleep at 7 breastfeeding. Then 30 minutes late is wide awake and not looking around, but screaming. He does that until 5am.
Check out out video - baby will only sleep while being held. Something is bothering your baby .
Thanks girl 💗👍
Never start co sleeping
I am a very light sleeper but cosleeping was never a consideration
Thank you so much for this video. My husband and I are interested in effectively sleep training. We’ve been co-sleeping since our daughter was born. Now that we’re transitioning to her crib, obviously she’s struggling to fall asleep independently; especially with the Ferber Method. Her daily schedule is fairly consistent. Her nighttime routine looks like solids, bath, nurse and preparation for bed. When placed in her crib, she’s very determined to stay awake as long as possible and screams or cries nonstop. The frequent check-in’s upset her even more. She’ll cry for 2.5 hours or more a night. When crying, she cries so hard, often gasping for air and vomiting. The gasping for air and vomiting startles us. When co-sleeping, she frequently wakes throughout the night to nurse. (Though, we do get more sleep at night compared to when we try to get her to sleep on her own.)Nights are really hard and we’re feeling defeated. Definitely looking forward to learning more about the different methods you suggest. I am desperate for a change.
Please read the book and work on all the different aspects about sleep teaching! This is about so much more than just the put down. As a co sleeper - you'll want to be more gradual and start with the attended method from the book. a.co/d/00gB7SGj
I thought this video was going to give us advice on how to deal?
My daughter is 20 months old She is very active during the day She wakes up suddenly at 2am in night cries a alot and then sleep after an hour or two Why is this happening??
It's hard to say with little info, but in general, the most common cause of night wakings at this age is staying awake too long before bedtime. Meaning: bedtime is too late. She needs to be asleep ~ 4 hours from waking from her nap.
Since i gave birth june 4,2024 I have no good sleep . My baby is crying when his hungry and sleepy . Everytime every 2-3 hrs he wakes up with cry then give him a milk after that he cry again because he want to sleep . I feel dizzy already I only have few hrs sleep . As frist time mom I dont know what to do please help
Please read our book! There is more to share than a reply on a social media comment. As one reviewer wrote about our book: "This book transformed my newborn's sleep in less than 2 days. We went from co-sleeping and nursing to sleep to sleeping in his bassinet for the full night and napping in his bassinet throughout the day at 5 weeks. This was extremely practical and was flexible enough to implement right away! I am so happy I started this early." a.co/d/0gn9VKrp
Forget black out curtains!!!! Most time they still bleed some light from the top, bottom and sides! FOIL! Foil is where it’s at! I know it sound trashy and your neighbors will probably think you’re starting your own meth lab, but it will make the room pitch black dark. You will not be able to see your hand in front of your face. Install foil in my kids room tonight! Like 5 mins ago! It’s perfect. Spray a bit of water on the windows then the foil sticks right to it. Add some tape for security. And block any openings! GOLDEN!
Hello, I can’t book times with you on the website. It seems June and July are booked. My wife and I are desperate with our toddler and we have a second baby coming soon. Need help. Thank you.
Sorry about that! Vacation until July 8th. Opened a few spots up for that week!
good info. however, you can still be “breast feeding”, by bottle, meaning you still will know exactly how much they ate . that doesn’t mean they had formula just because you know how much they ate in oz/ml
