Hay curso , training.?
Thanks for a great video. I recently purchased a Neoden 4 (used) and have found the tutorial essential viewing in getting the machine set up & running nicely. I have a couple of questions though : A) In the video you align each component (board component position center) - why is this necessary? Surely, if there are reference fiducials, the machine should (after locating them on the board and calculating offsets for board position and rotation) place the components in the correct place based on the pick and place file data ( which includes the location of the fiducials) ? It's very time consuming (and essentially less accurate) to go and visually select the center of each component on a board. Also, If you need to correct the center point of a component after doing a manufacturing run, it's seems hard to get the same reference points (used the first time going through visual component centering) so you have to do it all again. Or perhaps I'm missing something? B) I have a question about the 'Footprint Library' for the up-looking camera. My machine came with a smallish list of common components to select from (normal R's & C's, SOP8's etc) and they are all good, but my question is that while defining a new footprint you can only define a rectangular shape and height so how do you handle non-rectangular/square parts? For example, I've had trouble with SOT223's - while most of the time it gets these correct with a rectangular footprint definition, about 30% of the time it will pick them reasonably straight but then give them an incorrect rotation for placement. As a result I've had to turn vision correction off for these. Overall I'm very pleased with the machine's capabilities. Thanks in advance. Ewan J. Wordsworth Microbee Technology
Hello how can i contact with you
The guy applying the solder by hand on the stencil looked like he was buttering toast. Worst technique possible.
🤒😀
Hi need your SEO for video.
We are trying to use a device with pads that are under the body but the pads stop short of the devices outline. The 4 C sometimes identifies the body outline but sometimes identifies the edges of the pads. Has anyone got insight into the parameters that would make visual recognition consistent
We can’t get our k1830 working! It’s saying head isn’t in a safe location. It will do everything but move the head. We tried removing all feeders as the distributor said it was the component detection laser picking something up??
I would never recommend trying to get customer support from UA-cam. This is most likely a third-party company operating the page.
I am a professional digital marketing. UA-cam video content is good. But there is less subscriber. Views, seo.and tag. If you can hire me.I will solve that. If you need me.kindly knock me.
It's very interesting😊
The manufacturer is based in China, yes.
is there a course to train on using it. for dummies ofcourse
Thanks for your comment Rami! We offer on-site installation and training packages for those customers in North America setting up a PCBA line. Otherwise, our engineers are US-based and ready to walk you through any problems you may encounter. Support is included with the purchase of an ND10.
Very good explanation...
Dear sir, I am a digital marketer, I know you have a small UA-cam channel, I can help you with SEO and monetization on your UA-cam channel.
Hi! I saw your youtube channel your didn't SEO youtube videos and also your youtube channel not monetization so I want to help monetize your youtube channel and videos SEO.
Your channel content is really good. But do you know why you can't increase your subscribers and video views despite having such good content? Because of some major issues of your channel like 1. Video SEO 2. Attractive Thumbnails 3. SEO-related video titles 4. Channel Keyword These three things are very important to grow a UA-cam channel. If you are good at these three things then you can grow your UA-cam channel very quickly. I increased my UA-cam subscribers and video views overnight using this process.
Why do these videos never have the details the consumer is actually interested in. How many feeders does this thing have, number of different size components it accommodates , working speed, cost, etc.
because they have a website that has all of that information for those that are interested in more detailed information.
@@wavedistributionusa And providing the information here is wayyyyyyyy too much trouble for them? This is their official UA-cam channel, right? Their web site says, "Contact us for a detailed specification sheet and consult". This is salesman speak for we want your details so we can "convince" you to buy.
@@RobertA-hq3vz I'm sorry you're so cynical. The product either meets your needs or it doesn't, no one is trying to sell you something you don't. But I agree, it would be helpful to put that information in the video. I'll speak with them and make sure they add the specs and details you requested to the web site so you do not need to worry about reaching out and being 'sold' to, and request that they add such details to the description field of this video and put them in future videos. Thanks for bringing making us aware.
The service from Neoden USA is very responsive and they provide backward-compatible software for the machines that they sell and support.
is NEODEN chinese company?
Yes.
47:51 R14 Missing / C4 Crooked / R13 Only touching one pad / Also a component on the very top left is missing... Also my guy went a bit excess on the solder paste application to give a "best case" demo of this machine.
That was the first board to come out of a new program. With any machine, it is necessary to tweak the program before production, and that result for a first attempt is excellent. As far as solder paste, we used a standard .15mm stencil. Contact us at support@neodenusa.com if you have any further questions!
@@NeodenUSA how old is the Neoden 4?
Which feature of the YY1 is most exciting to you??
for nozzle changing, will it be able to do auto alignment for the nozzle?
Thanks for your question! The centroid of every nozzle used on the YY1 is identical. Therefore if calibration is performed as part of routine maintenance there is no need for the machine to recalibrate nozzle position after a change. For more information please contact us at info@neodenusa.com.
Check out our overview of the new YY1: ua-cam.com/video/25PN_0McFA8/v-deo.html
There seem to be a lot of plastic parts of the machine made by 3D printing, is that intentional? Is it just an early prototype part or will it be applied to the final product as well?
To maintain consistency, and to keep production costs down and pass those savings on to our customers, parts are 3D printed on a production scale. Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions!
Interesting. You have my attention if this could fill the PNP 1 board to 100 at a good price point
Feel free to reach out to us at info@neodenusa.com with any questions. You may also find some answers in our new overview video on the YY1: ua-cam.com/video/25PN_0McFA8/v-deo.html

Hi, We just purchased a NeoDen4 which arrived on Monday. I have been setting the machine up and initially it worked well, but we have started to notice some errors in its operation. All the problems are with the head operation. 1) Sometimes the downwards facing camera takes a “black” photo (i.e. no image). 2) Sometimes the pick nozzle does not respond. It sometimes is held down and can only be released by turning off the machine. Other times, it does not drop down even when using the manual test mode. 3) Sometimes the downward facing camera flash does not turn off. The flash remains on continually. The other parts of the machine (feeders, peelers, XY movement, rail control, upwards facing camera) all work without issue. Any ideas? It feels like a software/driver bug because sometimes the test buttons in the “manual test“ tab work then just randomly stop working. Phil

I have a Neoden IN6, but the settings menu confuse me a little bit. How can I set the temperatures in the six zones. For instance, zones 1 and 2 must have the same temperatures as you shown on video? And zone 3 equal to zone 4; and zone 5 equal to zone 6? Thanks for the excellet video!
In the display for the IN6 the zones are not numbered at all. There are three top zones and three bottom zones. You can use the built in profiles as a starting point for temperature settings, but you should follow the procedure in the video for checking the profile graph to get a consistent result.
@@NeodenUSA Thanks! I think I'm getting consistent results on profile simulation! I'll test it with a pcb!
8:20 -- In addition to the obvious color difference, it should also be noticed that on a board that doesn't reach the specified temperature, you may notice that the parts aren't completely embedded in the solder
Another great video! Is there any way to get the feeders to “blow” to release components? There are a few tricky components (specifically LEDs) that sometimes will never place, no matter how long the “place delay” is. Under the “manual test” tab, there is an option to “Blow”, but it doesn’t seem like this functionality is possible during run time. When manually picking the component and then enabling “blow”, the components fall off like I’d expect. Without “blow”, the parts can sometimes take 1-2 minutes to fall off the nozzles on their own.
Thanks for the feedback, Mitch! Please reach out to us at support@neodenusa.com and we'll be happy to assist with this issue.
Excellent video! Do you have any pointers on how to get components to “snap” into place? When I reflow boards by hand with a heat gun, they tend to “snap” in place, even if they were slightly crooked. With the IN6 reflow oven, they tend to solidify in place, which is pretty annoying if something like a microcontroller is slightly crooked.
Thanks for the feedback, Mitch! The rapid snapping action when using a heat gun comes from the rapid liquefaction of the solder, which is caused by very high air temperature. The oven will heat more gently to assure that components don’t get damaged. This tends to cause less pulling. While the snapping action is satisfying, it isn’t good for yield, so accurate placement is important.
@@NeodenUSA Yes. There is a fallacy that components will magically float into the correct position. A little of that will happen, but only if you are lucky. You need to assume the components will not move during reflow, and in fact it is preferred that they don't move. Accurate placement is essential.
Can you send me price detail and some technical specification
Thank you for your interest! All of that information and more can be found here on our website: neodenusa.com/smt-pick-and-place
Sar I want to purchase this machine for our LED production
NO
Why does your software have a button that changes the interface to Chinese and (here's the stinker!) requires a PASSWORD from SUPPORT to get back to English!?!?!? Who designs in traps like this????
"Doctor, it hurts when I go like this" 'Don't go like this' The same is true of your GPS if you change the language. Don't do it, and you won't have a problem. If you inadvertently do it, e-mail support for the password - problem solved. In the meantime, companies the world over are using the Neoden 4 to successfully build boards and make products at a fraction of the cost of going to third-party contract manufacturing.
@@wavedistributionusa Your GPS won't ask for a password to change it back. No-one is disputing that it's a great machine, it's just that it's very intuitive that it'd have a setting that forces you to contact support to undo, especially one that's so prominent. Why not just let you change it back with a similar "English" button? The only thing I can think of is that maybe it costs extra to have an English version? Seems a silly way to solve region-locking though.
@@Lufteluke you are absolutely right. And it will be added to the list of requested feature changes for thre next compilation of the control software. In the meantime, folks all around the English-speaking world are using the Neoden 4 to make prototypes, produce boards, build products in-house. The degree of control havcing a Neoden 4 in a SMT production line at this price point is extreemelt empowering to small and mediun size businesses - including mine.
@@wavedistributionusa Absolutely, I'm in awe over how fast and precise those things are, that's why I ended up on this video in the first place
I am aiming to buy something like this in 6-12 months from now. Does your company offer in person demos before purchasing? I am within an hour from Ringwood, NJ so it would be easy for me.

I see there's a compressor to the side at the end... i thought it had one built in?
The Neoden 4 and Neoden S1 do not use a compressor. The Neoden 8, being a more heavy-duty commercial pick and place machine, uses a compressor to allow for maximum CPH
@@NeodenUSA so in order to use this machine you need to buy a compressor seperate?

Thanks for the comment, Sebastien! Did you enjoy the video? If you look closely, you can see that the tube has been cut to allow the component to sit exposed at the end of the tube.
