David Stone and I headed to the West face of the Eiger in early April 2017. Unfortunately the snow was a layer of soft snow over sheet ice, which made for tough riding. We climbed from the bottom of the face at 7,500ft up to 11,200ft. The top is around 13,000ft, but some nasty looking clouds were coming in from Jungfrau, so we decided to call it a day at that point and head down. Would be an amazing descent with good snow. it was fun regardless.
