Denton Creek Route
Part 2 of our ride with Zach we travel on the Denton Creek Route. We ran across some more freshly groomed trails that gave us some deep sand to travel through, and fun water holes to travel through. Nothing technical, but some beautiful scenery and just a fun ride. Hope you can come along with us, and if you have time stick around for the devotional at the end.

Karolina and I met up with my friend Zack to explore some trails. We started off north of Harrison, MI at Piney Woods. From there we ventured through some of the State Forest trails to the Leota South River Route that I found on OnX. Nothing extreme, but a lot of fun. So come along for the ride, and hopefully you can stay for the devotion at the end. #offroad #offraoding #4x4 #4x4offroad #Jesus...

Went to Rocks and Valleys Off Road Park with Robert and Karolina, along with new friends Bob and Colton from Trailbandit in Harrison, MI. I’m in Indiana I’m thinking of getting up in that area
@@MSchumacherfan if you let me know far enough in advance, we could definitely meet up and do some trails. Always enjoy getting out there with folks and enjoying all the beauty that we are blessed with.
Are you based out of Standish I think I see your rig around town new to the channel
@@trentonwitter8639 yes I am. Welcome, which one is yours?
@ unfortunately I don’t have a rig right now I sold my rig before Covid for a down payment on a house for me my wife and daughter were looking to get back out there and get a rig again in the next couple years
@ I completely understand that. Our kids are grown and I have only had mine about a year. Wanted to do it for a long time but wasn’t able to. Family priorities come first. Hopefully we will run into each other sometime around town.
@@OffroadGospel-yi6gj absolutely sir would love to check your rig out

another nice ride brother
Thank you, so many beautiful places to explore.
I would love to hit these trails!
@@dutchloveRC it’s a nice area to ride. Not a lot of challenges but a lot of fun
Looked like a fun little trail. Seen 4602 connected to a seasonally closed trail. So is it kind of like a down and back trail right now?
@@evincar18 I connected to it from heath road to 4043. I’m out of Standish, let me know if you want to hit some trails
@@OffroadGospel-yi6gj I seen heath to 4043 but onx shows 4602 connecting on the north end to 4323 which seems to be closed and says it opens April 1st. If I get up that way I would love to run some trails sometime. I don't remember if I commented on your Yankee springs loop video but I think I did. That's more my neck of the woods. Probably see you on a MST ride someday as well. Are you going to leatherwood?
@ if I’m over that way I will let you know. Hopefully I will be doing an MST ride soon. Won’t be able to do Leatherwood, have another ride I’m doing at Land between the lakes in Kentucky.
Thank god you have a winch, I have a full size pickup 🛻 with 2.5” lift and AT tires but no winch yet.
@ yes it definitely came in handy. I chose a bad line also, but I would have turned around without the winch. I made that mistake before. Got stuck in deep mud with no way to get myself out. Had to flag someone down to pull me out
Love seeing the local Michigan content. We just did some Huron trails a while back and it was beautiful. Nice to see some other rides not too terribly far away too. Hope the channel continues to grow.
@@evincar18 it is such a blessing to have so much open trails available in Michigan.
@@OffroadGospel-yi6gj it really is. I wish we had as much down in southern Michigan but I'll take what I can.
@ I looked back on OnX and it looks like quite a few trails through there that closed today. Must be a snowmobile route

Yes, driving in sand is significantly different in cold versus hot temperatures, with driving in cold conditions generally being easier because the sand tends to be firmer and less likely to cause your vehicle to sink due to cooler temperatures and potentially higher humidity, while hot, dry conditions make the sand softer and more difficult to navigate in.

@@robertrodocker6684 I really enjoyed the morning ride, it was such a beautiful morning.
Thank you for your content.
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment, it means a lot to me.
I love this area! Unless I am trailering my RZR somewhere most of my rides start around here. One of my favorite stretches of trail is just south of here and you can see the radio tower it goes to way off in the distance around 22:56. I believe you did the long straight trail that goes East to West with the larger hills, then peeled off to the North and made a big loop. If you go south from that area it will come out on Beaver Road which runs from Military Road to the Artillary range. If you cross that where you come out it is called Annis Pit Road and that goes South then Southwest up to that Radio Tower. After you pass that tower that is maybe the "roughest" stretch of trail in the area. I have a video of it heading South to North: ua-cam.com/video/PuCbdoLdyrk/v-deo.htmlsi=Rfyf_n93w9_KGQbM Definitely a good area to explore, from here I've been South to Houghton Lake, West past the Manistee River, and around Lake Margrethe and to the North clear up to Frederic, Waters and the Range 40 area.
@@joshclements364 that sounds like a pretty cool area. I will check out the video and hopefully I can go check that out. Thanks for the info. Appreciate you watching!
Nice trail. Sometimes the trails can be overrated. 😊
@@RDOverland yes it was. Definitely rated too high, but fun nonetheless. If you are ever wheeling in the area let me know.
@@OffroadGospel-yi6gj Sure thing. Be safe.
I had a group planning to head up there this weekend, but we heard in the UP that it's black fly season right now. How bad we're they when you went? Also we're a lot of the trails completely underwater from the amount of rain lately?
@@Meech_CV they were not bad at all. We had a lot more mosquitoes than flies. That was about 2 1/2 weeks ago though
