NABC Northwest Agriculture Business Center

The Northwest Agriculture Business Center will improve the economic vitality of the agriculture industry within the northwest Washington counties of King, Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom, and southwest counties of Lewis, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Pacific, Mason and Pierce, by providing business resources and hands-on guidance to new or existing businesses that provide value-added or innovative agricultural products or services.
Southwest Washington Grain Project Lunch & Learn
In 2019, the SW WA Grower’s Cooperative was formed and shortly after contracted with Great Western Malting to produce 500 tons of malting barley on less than 200 acres. In that time, a rail spur was constructed at the Port of Chehalis to allow shipment of the barley, and the port has been awarded over $7 million to build grain storage and provided access to 8.2 acres of Port property slated to be built out in support of regional agriculture.
