Jerry Amernic has been a newspaper reporter and correspondent, newspaper columnist, feature writer for magazines, teacher of journalism, and media consultant. Jerry studied Journalism at the University of Western Ontario before graduating from the University of Toronto. He was a newspaper reporter and columnist before joining a major corporation where he got involved in corporate communications. He then went out on his own freelancing for magazines. He has taught writing and journalism at community college, and is the author of several books.
