    um, that's the POINT, STUPID. It's to teach very small kids balance using their legs at first, and then they start picking up their feet as they gain in balance... then they can switch to a pedal bike with very little practice, no need for training wheels.

  • @IronGutsTommy
    @IronGutsTommy 11 років тому

    exactly. the center of gravity is wheel high, and at any point they can put their feet down and stand basically. ids usually start off not even touching the seat. these give them the safety net while still letting them practice balancing. and they do have brakes, the kids feet

    For those who think these are simply regular bikes without the crank, chain, and pedals you are mistaken. If you were to check these out in person you would see a dramatic difference in the weight of these vs a regular kids bike. The reason these work is not only from removing pedaling from the equation, but also by providing an extremely lightweight bike which is also adjustable to be very close to the ground. This is why a child can become very comfortable on one at about 2 years old.

    Interesting that you would infer I was speaking about myself. You were "taken" when you purchased this item. That is my point.

  • @VeloJake
    @VeloJake 11 років тому

    Taken? It what way have you taken anything? You've made no real point, just insults. Anyway, done wasting time with you. I win, you lose, go to hell.

    Not everyone, but you do fit the bill. As for my understanding of english, I am fairly confident that the phrase: "It's a pain in the ass" Does not equate to: "It's not difficult" Perhaps you are just a bit sore from being taken, that's not my fault now is it. Does not

  • @VeloJake
    @VeloJake 11 років тому

    I never said it was difficult, you don't understand English you annoying pathetic excuse for a human being. It is a pain in the ass, not everything that is a pain in the ass is difficult. My kid sometimes wants to pedal his bike with training wheels, sometime uses the balance bike, do I really want to do it over and over again, hell no, these things are cheap. I'm pretty sure you are just trolling, especially since starting from your first post you just want to call everyone stupid.

    Yes, the crank comes out as well. Depends on the design. Some the crank only requires a wrench, some require a spanner wrench. There are other tools that will do the job just fine. Yes, you do have to grease it. (oh my!) Are you seriously still trying to argue that it is a difficult thing to do? Does your purse keep getting in the way?

  • @VeloJake
    @VeloJake 11 років тому

    For one, I didn't say it was too difficult for me. That you misinterpreted. You keep saying just pedals and chain, so now I'm assuming you are a moron. What about the crank? you just going to leave it there, in the way, waiting to get all scratched up on the pavement. So now you have to remove it from the bottom bracket, which needs more than just wrenches, and you have to grease it on reassembly. Also, the chain, the average person does not have a chain breaker (I do).

  • @Anubis78250
    @Anubis78250 11 років тому

    Perhaps I should explain it to you in simpler terms. You stated that it was to difficult for a grown man (you) to remove the pedal and chain assembly from a bicycle. You then stated that it was "not worth the effort". Removing this assembly is a basic and simple action that can be performed by a child in roughly ten minutes. I am not condescending to you, you are standing in a hole.

  • @VeloJake
    @VeloJake 11 років тому

    Digging? In my first post I just disagreed with you and explained why. That is digging?

  • @Anubis78250
    @Anubis78250 11 років тому

    Hey, you're the one who put yourself in that position. Ten minutes and a couple wrenches ... "not worth the effort" It doesn't take any effort to condescend if you're the one digging.

  • @Anubis78250
    @Anubis78250 11 років тому

    I was doing it when I was 12, but if it's to difficult for you *shrug*.

  • @VeloJake
    @VeloJake 11 років тому

    It's a pain in the ass to disassemble a bottom bracket properly. And how many non cyclists have a chain breaker sitting around, Considering these are cheap, worth it to just get one. If they were $500 you might have a point.

  • @Anubis78250
    @Anubis78250 11 років тому

    Save you r money you fools. Simply remove the pedal assembly/gears/chain from a standard bike. Then when your child is confident enough you can re-install. /shocked that people are stupid enough to pay someone for something like this.

    Kids who start riding a bike early have a tremendous sense of balance in all things as they get older....tree climbing, skate boarding, surfing...

    No, they use their feet for brakes. There is an optional brake attachment that you can buy.

    Just became aware of these bikes.. they seem like a good transition from the 4-wheeled push cars your kids scoot around on, to a pedaled bicycle. I don't have any kids (yet) but when I do, I'll consider getting them a bike like these. Seems to me like a really great idea.

    What song is that. I play banjo and would like to learn it. Also, I was just showing my two year old daughter this vid and she said "daddy song".. I bought her a strider. She will get it in a couple of weeks at her bday party. All of the strider vid watching is really making her want one.

    I do realize it is the same with every car. I titled it "Cop Car glitching" because that is what the video was of.

    I got into a car one time and there was a guy that was upside down with his legs sticking straight through the roof and his head sticking out underneath the car. You would think that the glitches would take away from the gameplay but they just end up making the game funnier.
