How To Draw Fur In Colored Pencil! Short Tutorial
In this video I will be working on the red panda fur. The main focus in this video is how to focus on the direction of the fur and to make clumps and clusters of fur not just individual lines. Also I will be showing you how I tone areas down to make them look more in the shadows that gives contour to you panda head.

@valeriegehling4358 Thank you so glad you liked the video!! 😃 I used the Sennelier oil pastel paper but you can use canvas boards or even Ampersand pastel bord. The Oder less mineral spirits I used is by Gamblin Gamsol Gamblin Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits Bottle, 4.2oz

@@valeriegehling4358Yes, you can use any Odorless mineral spirits there are several brands out there. Such as Mona Lisa, Tusc & Pine StudioSolv and US Art Suppy odorless mineral spirits. If you do not want to use any type of odorless mineral spirits and still want your art work to be archival then there is some water soluble oil pastel that Caran D’Ache sells I just haven’t tried them yet.

I can’t tell if I love it or hate it!! Obviously I don’t hate the artwork but these new pictures are so scary!! You should create a series of them and call them “Night terrors” or something cool like that!! Anyways, great job!
@IcedTea217 They are a little spooky looking not sure why I’ve always had an attraction to spooky things and my daughter is the same way. So I decided to add cherry’s to one character and flowers to another to take some of the spookiness away. The next one I have drawn up hopefully won’t be too spooky but you never know it might turn out that way unintentionally. Hint, it’s supposed to be the forest creatures pet dog or puppy.
